Newbies attempt at a strategy - FEEDBACK welcome!

Happy New Year all,

I am new to the world of affiliate marketing and understand it is constantly evolving. I have scattered myself around the internet trying to find viable strategies that don't involve a whole lot of capital in invest.

Below is my strategy, appreciate any feedback you may have.

1. Create Website with relevant content to my Niche (Mens health and fitness, content revolves around selecting a training program, effective training, weight loss, supplements, and nutrition.

2. Create sales copy for a landing page, to opt-in and receive free product (either free report, e-book, or a physical product, undecided as of yet).

Unsure how to structure this part as i want to create an opt in loop to generate email sign-ups, which means choosing the best product to receive and pairing it with the right sales copy and loop (i need help with this part).

3. Build email list, simultaneously offering 3 tier/up-sell over email, for those who are new to subscribe. (3 tier upsell likely to be a PLR e-book, course, video instruction or combination of all)

4. On the website, have an advertisers page. (This will take some time to develop as i'm relatively new i have no proven track record so advertisers may be reluctant). Advertising page, may also be called affiliates who want to be involved and who we can both recommend each others products to each others lists.

5. Have guest experts write posts on my blog.

6. Drive traffic to the site with google adsense.

7. Create a fb page, and ad campaign for a competition to receive a free product to sign up, refer a friend to receive your prize instantly (likely to choose free report for this or a physical product [supplement]) creating a viral loop to get mass sign up/opt-in.

I realise that this is all kind of not a simple step by step process and is more of a shotgun approach with 'most' things happening all at once.

I appreciate any feedback, support, tips, or encouragement from any of the members who have seen results with a similar strategy or can see that this strategy 'can' work but i may have missed some details or i need to tweak some things.

Thanks in advance,

And, Happy New Year!

Make it simple with Youtube and Facebook video approaches. You don't even need to build your own website. Use your smartphone video camera. You can build your list with video as well. Good luck!

      Thanks for that,

Can you possibly spell out the strategy you mentioned for me?

Strategies are easier for the experienced to implement if they have experience, not for us newbies though =)

I totally agree with this one though I have yet to overcome my fear on speaking in front of camera completely.

I know one marketer who does this.

His name is Joshua Elder and he makes about $300K promoting high ticket offers and doing motivational videos as well.

You can search Youtube and Facebook for his name if you want to and add him as your friend.

When you ask for strategies... that would bring a lot of options.

But if I were you... I would start with Comparison Video Channel when possible.
So you can give valuable info for people before they decide to buy a product which is in your comparison video. This way you can have more opportunities since you provide multiple products. People will love to choose one of the products that you've been explaining in the comparison.

Another strategy is video tutorial that related to any product you want to promote.

Hope this will give you a picture! Good luck!

    PS:
You might not believe it, but the real working strategy is... make your own simple one and just do it! Then make any adjustment in the rolling. I mean... learn and practice and evaluate it. Thanks.

I don't know what type of physique you have but in order to have an engaging YouTube channel you have to have a really good physique. Especially if you are dealing with Men's Fitness.

Look at the guys on there now like Brandon Carter, Lee Hayward, Vince Delmonte etc. I am not saying it can't be done, it's just something to consider.

Product comparisons will only get you so far.

In terms of creating your own platform (blog) you are on the right track. Set up the basic framework first and then start marketing it.

Get your funnel set up, the overall layout and a handful of well written articles.

You can use Social Media or guest posting to promote it. If you go with a fan page there is tons of stuff you can share.

You can buy hundreds of fitness memes on fiverr for dirt cheap. People like that stuff and will share it all the time.

It shouldn't take long to get fans.

You can also go on Instagram and buy shout outs to your landing page to get leads that way. Once they're on your list you can direct them to your blog and build a relationship.

    Fitness is huge on Instagram.

There are many ways to do this.

Just focus on writing content and then picking 1 or 2 ways to market your content.

Keep going and refining until you start seeing results. If your content is good your audience will start to grow.

Then you can start to monetize.

Agree with the video first approach - build a loyal following THEN make a website.

I spend hours each week watching YouTube - I watch it more than TV these days. I love gaming channels - it's great seeing people play games better than I can. The secret of my favourite YouTubers? They have professionally shot videos (i.e. good sound/video, no background noise) AND they're passionate about their niche.

    Sounds like a solid strategy.
    When are you getting started?

Aside from Facebook I'd also recommend other social networks to help drive traffic

There is another platform/forum like this called Wealthy Affiliate, i have built a basic site already with content and pictures.

However, because i'm not a premium member i don't have access to advanced features, so i'm on the hunt for someone who can help me out with hosting and design etc for a 'freehold' site.

You are on the right track and asking the right questions. Consistency will be key. It will only work if you can keep it up and maintain it for an extended period of time. (like physical fitness) So be sure your doing enough but not too much that you will not be able to maintain for a solid 3 months.
