Help with Monetizing a 30K List

I have a list of about 30k subscribers in a religious niche. The problem is monetization. I can certainly sell 'spiritual/religious' products (which I do), but doesn't seem to be the best approach - the community can only take so much product promotion.

Any advice or recommendations about cross-selling to an audience into related niches (e.g. sell the religious women cloths, etc.)?

If you had a large audience that is primarily interested in religious material, how would you monetize to generate at least $3k-5k per month?

There must be a better way...

There is certainly a better way but there are some things I'd like to know to help you out with this. Can you tell me your opens and clicks rates? How did you get these pal to your list?

I think that you can make a lot more than 3rd that you mention

Opens are around 30-35% with bad untested subject lines. Click rates range from 5-10%. I got these people on my list through lead magnet opt-ins. Also, by driving traffic via facebook to very simple landing pages.

Very open to ideas here... I got the lead generation part down for the most part, but not very successful with monetization.

So, you built a list of 30,000 subscribers with no idea what to do with them? Or, did you buy this list?? I tend to think it is a bought list and you should really build your own.

Yep, built a list of 30K subscribers... through organic and paid methods. I have a lot of ideas of what to do with them, but none of the monetization methods have paid off very well. I did not buy this list. I have legitimately built the list.

would you love your response to this because it is legit and I'm seriously looking for tactical feedback.

I think selling videos makes a lot of sense. These could be sermons you have done. You can contact me if you need sermon Ideas. They could be on self development or any book of the Bible. These courses should be high quality. They can also be functional videos, like how to apply the great commission etc...

Wow The spiritual/religious niche is huge in terms of what you could provide for them. Think about that is that what they are looking for. You need to know your list first and try to understand the mayor interest of them. Then you can start looking for promotions or so.

There are subject that relate to religion/spirituality that are usually common to all the people, such as the relationship between spirituality and abundance, or success. The relationship between relationships and spirituality (marriage, etc). All this subjects can accept different types of products, that either you develop for them (ebooks, memberships, consulting,, coaching, etc) or you affiliate them.

Selling physical products is another option as you mentioned, but it is a bit harder I would say. I would initially stick with information.

    Hope this helps

    To your success!!

I would go for some sort of recurring product service, since the interest of your subscribers is unlikely to change drastically. Here are a couple thoughts to generate on-going residual income vs one time sales:
    • Create a $0.99/month app that provides daily/weekly spiritual advice.
    • Subscribe them to an online/printed magazine or newsletter that generates monthly/annual renewal commissions
    • Subscribe them to monthly gift programs (Faithbox comes to mind).
You get the idea. Good luck!

I wouldn't sell women's clothes. There are many more products you can sell to religious people --books, magazines, badges with quotes, etc 30k subscribers is a huge number, but you need to keep them active not only through your email list, but also through social media, and your website. If you do it right, they won't feel like they get spammed and you'll make a good profit -much bigger than the 3k you mention in your message.
