Who's got EZA down to a science?

Even article marketing all together?

My question here is, what are some methods we can use to improve the quality of our articles... Additionally; what is the sales process that you take them through....

In other words when someone clicks your link from your article where do you send them that has the most results? Redirect your domain to an affiliate product? Send them to a blog? (if so whats on the blog?) Squeeze page?

Reason being, I am going to give article marketing a shot..
But I dont want to be shooting in the dark....

I was hoping my fellow warriors could guide me to the light here...

    One quick hint - if you are looking for traffic click-throughs (i.e. and not just using AM for backlinks) - is to keep your content quite short.

    275-325 words is usually enough to get your article approved whilst also short enough that the visitors will skim over it (sort of) and then see your links and hopefully click them.

        Perhaps this is happening because the people that are interested in what you are saying are the ones who will read more. The more they read, the more they qualify themselves.

        It's like the long vs short copy debate on sales letter. People wonder who will read a long sales letter. And the answer is, people who are interested in what you are selling.

        If they are NOT interested, 300 words or 500 words makes no difference.

          This makes perfect sense when you consider Jakob Nielsen's research on short vs. long articles:

          Long vs. Short Articles as Content Strategy (Jakob Nielsen's Alertbox)

          Here's an excerpt:

          * If you want many readers, focus on short and scannable content. This is a good strategy for advertising-driven sites or sites that sell impulse buys.
          * If you want people who really need a solution, focus on comprehensive coverage. This is a good strategy if you sell highly targeted solutions to complicated problems.

          Typically, people who really need something are the highest-value users because they're more likely to turn into paying customers. That's why I recommended writing articles instead of blog postings.

        Hmm, some interesting thoughts there. What dv8 says may well be the reason for this.

        As for your last line - I'd say that's pretty accurate. I recently purchased Paul's "Pricing For Big Profits" and that report gives quite a lot of credibility to the idea that the best way forward can be the most counter-intuitive method.

    as much as you can FIRST, before going ahead. Thankfully
    this forum contains a wealth of information on the subject,
    even if you don't have money to buy any WSOs.

    Just search this forum for "article marketing" and go grab
    coffee. There are tons to learn from,

      Some of us actually use article marketing as a way to get READ by as many people as possible and inspire clicks to our web site so we can turn those people into clients or customers.

      For that purpose, longer article tend to work better than shorters ones, and quality rules.

      So you see, there is no simple answer to the original question.

        There is no science to article writing and marketing.

        Each niche responds to a different style and approach.

        Some will opt into your list...some will think you are the devil from hell.

        Some will respond to a slick resource box, some will run so fast in the other
        direction that it would make your head spin.

        Do you think Joe Cool who is looking for the latest hip hop beats is going
        to respond to the same style of article and approach as Jim Normal who
        just wants to find out how to get rid of his heartburn?

        It's the reason why I have some articles that get 1,000 plus views a month
        and others that get 2.

        There is no science. You must adapt to the niche you're targeting.

    It really does depend on what you plan to do; are you using articles to build up authority on a single site? are you using articles to sell affilliate products? are you using articles to test the market? each requires a different approach.

    There is A LOT of info about ezinearticles on this forum. Just start searching. If you are planning to do 'Bum Marketing' then I would recommend Bryan Zimmerman's 'Newbie Workbook'. Do a search in the WSO section. It'll give you a good idea about what is involved.

    So much information! I LOVE the WF!

    I agree with Sir Wags, and I guess I can also search the WF here....

    Thats really the thing, I don't know what to redirect the people to....
    I have never done it...

    Some people say short, some say long, some say high quality some saw whatever.....

    I guess targeting your niche is important....

    But I am still confused about the redirection process.

    Where should I send them after the article?

    This is where I get COMPLETELY lost!

    Any help?

    Free Methods To Drive Traffic To Your Website


    1. Create Articles and submit them to article directories. This is based on keyword research which is based on your niche your targeting. For example Dog Training. Use Google Keyword Research Tool. Use Google Alerts For Niches you like, You can get plenty of ideas from these.
    2. Take each Article You Created And Submit them to Social Bookmarking Websites. A Great Social Bookmarking Tool is Onlywire.com and SocialMarker.com.
    3. Next Turn this Article into PDF ebook, I use Microsoft Word, You might have to install a Reader To Turn YOur Word Document into a PDF. But you should not have any problems. If not you can download any PDF creator on the internet by doing a Google Search.
    3. Submit Your PDF That you converted From Your Word Document To Google Docs and Scribd.com.
    4. Take your article turn it into a Podcast. Record yourself with Audacity.com. Download it Free Here. Submit your mp3 to podcast directories that include: I-tunes, PodcastAlley.com, PodcastPickle.com and Podcast.org.
    4. Next Take your article turn it into a PowerPoint Presentation and create A Camtasia Video, If you don't have Camtasia,
    5. Create A Video And Submit To The Various Video Sharing Websites these include: Youtube.com,, Google.com, DailyMotion.com, DailyMotion.com.
    6. Finally Put your article on your Blog and submit your Blog Rss Feed to Rss Directories. Just do a Google Search and you will find a whole bunch of Rss Directories. One I use FeedAgg.com.

    As far as where to send people from the articles, this is what I do in a nutshell.

    Firstly, if I am testing a new product to see if it converts well, I will write a number of articles and I will do a redirect straight to the affiliate product (only if the landing page is good).

    If the product converts from direct traffic (doesn't have to be outstanding conversions like 1:15 or something, it could even be 1:80+ since it is direct traffic), then that is when I will take it a step further and create a "review style" landing page and use that as my resource box link.

    I am also interrested to know. I would think that one link deep linking to a relavant blog post or page on your site would be great as far as your linkbuilding effort would go; and a second link to a squeeze page on the same domain should prove to optimize the worth of an actual visitor that clicked through from the article.

    But I am in the planning phase for my article marketing... and that is just what I am planning to do.

    Article marketing is a great way to go to get an infux of traffic to your website and a great way to build back links to your site. I don't think you'll be disappointed, but remember to be patient and expect to test different pages to see which ones will convert best. This aspect depends on your target audience and your product.

    *Make bullet points

    *Be descriptive

    *use HtMl to make your text stand out.



    Paragraph Headings

    Break up paragraph and name them so it makes the page easier to read.


    Use keywords

    Because this post is about EZA i'll use it in bold again EZA and let google know this page matters and is relevant.


    Unique Content

    Only submit unique content or your wasting your own time, the search engines will only index one version now and in the future.
