Traffic to an affiliate marketing offer.

I am looking to build an affiliate marketing business.

I understand that the best way to build it is to send traffic to a squeeze page and then send promotional emails to the list. I am sure that this is an over simplification. I want to put a plan/process together. I am assuming that my starting point is finding out how you get traffic?

You are on the right track.

You need to send traffic to a squeeze page and then when the visitors join your list you then need to send them promotional emails. This is the process boiled down to the basics. You obviously need traffic that you can send to your squeeze page and there are both free and paid methods of generating traffic. An example of free traffic would be to do a guest blog post on a website that has a high volume of traffic. Site owners are keen to have fresh quality new content.

It is possible to get paid traffic from things like Facebook Ads, Google Adwords or Bing advertising. Bing is likely to be more cost effective than Google Adwords. I would avoid traffic that is generated from a site called Fiverr.com. I got thousands of visitors and no sign ups!

I would recommend that you do some study of affiliate marketing as this will help you build a detailed plan of action. Even with the best plan you will have some hiccups and roadblocks. However, I am sure that if you keep going that it will all fall into place.

That would definitely be a great starting point.

Seeing you already have figured out a niche, which is a good start...

Here's a few other things you'll want to keep in mind (in no specific order).

Note: This is assuming you are starting off from square one.

    1) Getting a website and hosting
    2) Having a way to collect leads (plugins, themes, Clickfunnels, etc)
    3) Having an autoresponder
    4) What your budget is and where you want to get traffic
    5) If paid traffic is your thing, perhaps FB, or YouTube, or Bing, etc
    6) If free traffic is your thing, perhaps FB, or YouTube, or IG, or Twitter, etc.
    7) What types of offers will you be promoting (your own, or affiliate offers, or both)?
    8) Your frequency between content and promotional emails

There's obviously other things, but that should do for now.

    Hi:

There are several ways to approach affiliate marketing. One possible approach:
    1. Figure out what niche you want to work in (Health, Wealth, Internet marketing, etc)

    2. Figure out what platform or platforms you want to promote from (ClickBank, JVZoo, Warrior Forum, Commission Junction, etc)

    3. Determine which products you want to promote.

    3. Build a squeeze page. Look around for a free service to build a page if your budget is low. Some auto-responders have generic squeeze pages that you can use as a part of their service when getting started.

    4. You will eventually need a website to send visitors to and keep them engaged. The sooner you develop the website and populate it with content the better off you could be in the long run.

Either promote the affiliate offer to your existing list or determine how you want to generate traffic. Traffic Sources include:
    YOUTUBE-FREE;
FaceBook- Paid mostly but you can get some free leads once you know what you are doing.
    Google- Paid
    Bing- Paid
SOLO Ads- PAID ..This approach is where you pay someone to send an email to their list for the privilege of them recommending your offer. You buy clicks (100, 200) or another number that you both agree on.

You could promote your affiliate offer and start to see results relatively quickly. Usually one of the fastest ways to see results is SOLO ads. Not guaranteed, but it usually works pretty good.

    Good luck,

      Absolutely agree with you:

I think it must be set up first.

This is typically the best way (but not he only way)

As for traffic, there are many traffic providers to chose from, just to name a few off the top of my head - Facebook Ads, Bing Ads, Google Adwords, 50onred/rtxnetwork, trafficvance/propel media..

Traffic is the driving force in affiliate marketing today. You can bet that no one in the world would ever say NO if you share with him or her the best ways of generating traffic to their website. There is no substitute for hard and honest work. Once you accomplish this traffic generating will become easy.
One of the best ways to accomplish this is to follow these methods:

    - Search Engine Traffic - You never should underestimate the power of search engine traffic. Getting ranked highly in the search engines is an essential component for developing long-term and continual free website traffic, building link popularity and getting the right website visitors to check your website.

    - Exchanging Links - Another solid method for getting traffic to your affiliate website is to develop collaborations with other webmasters. It is not easy to find other sites that are in a related business as you and without being your competitors. But if you manage to find, it can turn pretty generously for you. Once you have found the ideal one, contact the web owner directly. Write a nice, customized e-mail and ask about exchanging links. If you build this relationship in the right way, you can ask them to put a link up for you.

    - Side with Affiliate Programs - Once you are part of a bigger affiliate program you are in a position to use the power and tools to get huge amounts of website traffic to your site. Also, you can develop collaborations with other affiliates, make some extra cash by promoting them and collaborate in order to create new traffic strategies.

    - Article Marketing - Through article marketing, you are developing powerful backlinks to your website and long-term exposure. Many people are looking for a good content online and they are more than interested to visit the website. When they visit your site, you probably are going to get them on your e-mail subscribing list from where you can proceed to build new relationships.

    - Market Knowledge - Having information about your market, understanding what your buyers visit online (sports, types of cars, hobbies and even jewelry) and knowing the demographics of your perfect buyers are few other methods of driving traffic to your affiliate website.
For me, I worked with a traffic coach that walked me though the turbulent world of traffic generation. My coach was able to turn my website around with laser-targeted and highly-concentrated traffic methods you need to be successful!

I'm thinking you got it a bit off. First figure out who you're going to sell to (find a hungry crowd and study it, understand what it wants, why it wants what it wants and everything else you can find out about them); then figure out what you're going to feed it (find products / services to promote to them). Then, you build your site/squeeze page and email sequence.

Build your list by way of a squeeze page or landing page. Then you will need targeted traffic to your page.

Traffic is the easy part! There is more traffic out there today than you can shake a stick at.
The problem is people promote so much BS and direct link why they have no money themselves and the people seeing this stuff is not stupid. Sometimes I think the people doing the promotion are the stupid ones but anyways...

You need to understand that all the landing page does is leverage your marketing efforts and helps to build that trust and traffic source for future promotions.

Affiliate marketing is a general category that contains lots of ways to make money on the internet. The basic idea, however, is that you'll generate content that points prospects to your affiliate offers. If they buy that product, you make a commission.

However using a simple squeeze page that contains free content such as articles, videos, or blog posts, you can draw readers in through search engines and prep them for making a purchase.

Here`s the best formula to make affiliate marketing works for you:

Traffic==>> Opt-in email Page==>> Autoresponder series (valuable content and promo emails) ==>>Sales page ==>> Money

Hope you find it useful tips
