Yes, Wordpress is the best blogging platform. It got lots of themes and plugins catered to whatever your website wants to do. It even provides online store capabilities through its various shopping cart plugins including the most popular WooCommerce. May top brands are using Wordpress such as BBC America, Xerox, New York Times, Harvard Business Review, etc. There are loads of free Facebook plugins around for Wordpress.

You can go with Self hosted WordPress for creating a blog. All you have to buy a domain name and hosting and install WordPress on it. This will be a good option for you to start a blog.

Here are the most important 4 steps to start a blog:

1- Choose your preferred blog platform. We prefer to use wordpress, It’s by far one of the biggest blogging platforms in the world, with countless plugins and add-ons and almost infinite ways to design and layout your blog.

2- Choose web hosting for your blog

3- Setting up a blog on your own domain
This is the easiest step and if you search Youtube with terms like " how to install my website on my domain name" you likely will find countless of free training and lessons.

You can create a blog at wordpress.com for FREE! using a domain name provited by them YOURNAME.wordpress.com IF you sign up to their service paying a monthly fee then you can use your very own domain name.

I will suggest you to invest little money. Purchase domain and start blogging on it and it is the best way to promote your product. Moreover, it is not costly .

You can use wordpress but you don't want to promote affiliate offers. You can use sites like hubpages if you want.

Ideally you should be willing to invest in your business. I mean for less than ten bucks you can get a domain and hosting. Why don't you want to invest in that?

Well own your domain and you will have your blog for life .I was had in the past a bloger blog where i work a lot and i was making like 150$ on autopilot per month ,then in one day boom : my blog was deleted .Using bloger was the biggest mistake .If i was startin at first with bloger i think now i was had 1000$ on autopilot from this blog .

You can try the other platform called 'WiX'. I use wordpress by the way. XD

hi, I agree with the others, wordpress is ideal for a blog, it's free, user friendly and i'm told google is partial to wordpress pages too!

the other one I've heard good things about for ease of use is weebly. I hope it works out for you! good luck.

I agree with most posters for Wordpress but make sure you have your own domain and hosting.

Thank you all very much for your advice. I do have a website, but when I wanted to publish a blog it would come up with my real name instead of my business name. Although there was a help page, for some reason the solution offered on it just wouldn't work!

However today after submitting a ticket they have done it all for me. Thank you so much for your help...this is a great forum with great people!
