What to Offer a Purchased Email List

I have a purchased , credible email list of over 120,000 High Net Worth Clients.

This list includes emails and mobiles numbers. This is a list that is heavily marketed too. In many cases it also has their home addresses. Over 50% of the list was verified and updated in 2016. Most are personal emails.

I currently have a web-site which gets just over 7,000 visitors a year and I have had success selling these lists at between US$100 - US$150- yes I know it is not right but here my question.

What could I offer these contacts to prevent them from being spammed by more people who buy the lists? In other words is there a way to make money by contacting them and letting them know their data has been exposed to a wider market. Is there a product to sell them that helps prevent more unsolicited spam.

I really don't understand the point you were making when you said you are trying to prevent them from been spammed by more people. The truth is that that list had probably also been sold to dozens or even hundreds of people before you even bought it. So what's the point here?

IMO just throw it away and cut your loses. Aside likely not being spam compliant, if you bought this list chances are it's been sold to others and very low quality.

IMO only email a list that you create/build yourself.

You could offer them the opportunity to unsubscribe and never get another promo email without their permission. Just saying, that's probably what they want more than anything after probably having their information sold dozens or even hundreds of times.

That's if any of those emails even get checked anymore or if they even exist anymore, which I highly doubt.

Buying lists = taking a really bad shortcut = NO MONEY = SPAM COMPLAINTS

You want to SELL their info on your site - and then offer to protect them from those who bought the list YOU sold? Is that really what you are saying?

  • Are you for real? Your spamming up their inbox and then you want to charge them for a product to stop you or someone else doing it?

You never had their permission in the first place.
