How can I find & convince Internet Marketers to my Affiliate dating program?

Hi,
I have been looking for online marketers to my Affiliate dating program for over 3 months. I post in related marketing groups & forums. I messaged to over 50 admins of relevant FB groups & pages. Compared to my competitors, I think my commission policy is more attractive. But up to now, I still do not find anyone who wants to hear my proposal for joining my affiliate program.

Did I find the wrong channel to find Internet marketers?

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Its a common misconception that people out there are just waiting for vendors products - there are thousands of vendors out there selling provenly converting products at attractive commissions. You have to somehow stand out if you want to get affiliates.

Some things that are relevant for possible afiliates:
    - past success of the product / conversion
    - quality of the product itself
    - commissions
    - cookie duration
    - one-time payment / recurring commission

In your case the first one will most likely be the most important factor for not advertising for you. They have so much products to choose from, especially in the dating "niche", that they simply have no reason to advertise for you.

Try to workout some kind of USP, maybe increase your commissions EVEN more just to get a few "first-movers" in. Also make sure you have a very good looking salespage.

Join an advertising network like Peerfly and offer your scheme through there. Then you'll have affiliates signing up in no time.

Also be aware that dating is a sophisticated industry these days and site operators like me have a good idea of whether your affiliate scheme is going to offer a good ROI.

I tried to join Peerfly, but they need to submit $4000 prepaymeny without telling the estimated cost for each install.

Are you showing them the EPC?

If an affiliate is going to invest time and money on promoting your product, they want to know it'll produce a healthy ROI.

Are you making any sales? Show epc's on your affiliate resource page. If you not making any sales or do not have any data your not going to get any worthwhile affiliates to market your product.

Once you have that data you can go to networks like warriorplus and clickbank and contact vendors and work with them. Most vendors are affilates as well!

Let me ask you: Have you built your dating website well enough that AMers would want to promote it?
It's not just how attractive your offer is, it's also how well your performance is.

That's why as said by some earlier, showing EPC could really help.

    Good luck!

If you've spent 3 months reaching out to people and nobody is interested...

Your site / affiliate program probably sucks.

And you probably aren't answering these questions...

Who the hell are you and why should I promote your product?

What can I expect for promoting your product? do you have any past sales data to tell me what to expect?

How can I promote your product? do you have software in place to monitor my sales? Do you even seem trustworthy enough to spend my time promoting your product and hoping that you'll actually pay me?

These are all the things going through an affiliates mind. If you fail to answer any of these questions an affiliate will skip you over for an established competitor any day.

And the suggestion of going to an affiliate network like peerfly is a good one. It squashes the initial trust problem you will have with finding affiliates.

Affiliates feel safer running offers through networks because they know the network will pay them. They can't be guaranteed you will pay them and your biggest affiliates will be ones that use paid advertising so they won't take any extra risk in not getting paid.

You gotta sell affiliates on your program just as much as you sell your customers on your product.

You can't just expect to make sales
with affiliates. You have to be able
to at least sell the product on your
own before reaching out to affiliates.

If you were doing this you would have
coversion data to show them. No is going
to take a chance on your product just
because you offer a great commission you know.

Other than that you should build a good looking
affiliates area with resources like banners and
    swipe emails.

Another thing you can do is google keywords
in your niche. Contact the owners of the
top ranking sites and see if there're interested
    in promoting your offer.

Bottom line, you need to be creative. Don't
think you can dump your offer into a market
place and people are just going to promote it
    because it won't happen.
