What are the Positives and Negatives of doing this blog ?

Hello everyone I am 17 and have a dream to start a career in real estate and everyone my age is about to take the giant step from high school into going out into the real world. And lately I have been debating whether on starting blog of me pursuing that dream , Sharing knowledge from what I read , from what I learn from mentors, my opinions in topics within business etc. I was thinking that starting now is best as I don't have my real estate license given my age and I can even use that to my advantage to make content , do you see where I'm going with this ? I even have a niche that I want to target that niche being people from ages 18 -25 as I can relate to this age group a lot cultural wise and I have realized that this age group particularly are the ones that are not doing much with their life and haven't taken that and need that extra motivation to take that "jump" in life as Steve Harvey would say cause ultimately I want people to view my blog and feel motivated to actually do something with their lives as well. Well thats enough rambling from me now please tell me your guys' honest opinion on this.

Thanks in advance everyone

    Hi there,

I'm pretty much unsure of your point. You want to start your real estate career by creating a blog about it. Then, you use that blog to educate people about real estate (what to buy, what to invest on, tips on buying your first home, and etc.), and promote houses or properties up for sale.

Am I right? If given I was right, would it be fine if you are in the real estate without a license? Just asking, because here in my place, we only deal with licensed brokers whenever we buy houses or properties.

I hope you can reply and make your concern clearer. We'd like to help you more.

    Thanks and good luck.

I agree with Tesslady, if you want to start a real estate career first you must learn some skills to educate people on how best to buy houses etc.

Then build a blog to share those tips , give value on your blog and have a opt in page to collect emails/phone numbers - have a give away like 5 tips to save money when buying house for example .

After you got this up market your brand online. If you want any more advice connect with me.

      Wish you all the best

I think it's a viable idea. Essentially it's like a diary of your increased knowledge, successes & mistakes as you pursue your passion.

There is a blog at Journey to financial freedom via turnkey rentals. that will give you some ideas from someone investing in real estate. I like the "Net Worth Tracker" he provides every month. Click the link " Blog Income Reports" at the top of the page which will show you how other bloggers in various niches are reporting their successes. That doesn't mean you have to have an income report on your blog by the way.

@TessLady I want to actually start my blog it with me getting my license and the things I worried about and stressed about when getting it. So the answer would be I plan on getting it once I turn 18.

And my concern would just be like is it a good idea in general you know ?

If your concern is: would it be viable to build a real estate business, then A BIG YES! It's actually great that as young as you are, you are already into this. Cool!

Anyway, get the license fixed sooner okay? I think you can start your blog with tips and guide on real estate. Then, as you have your license, you can follow posting properties up for sale.

        Good luck!
