I know a lot of people who decide to put their face / voice on their website/video. Now I don't want to do that because I want to have multiple businesses. If you look at the top people, they always show their face in their business.

Let's say I want to do youtube, is it possible I can do it without speaking or showing my face and instead use a text to speech program? If you guys have examples, can you please show me some blogs and youtube channels where they never showed their face and voice?

Also I heard creating shitty websites/small websites where theres only product reviews attached with affiliate link a bad idea now? Like now you have to have a blog and get peoples emails then email them the affiliate links? Is it possible to make money with building like 10-20 small/shitty websites which have some information but in the long run they keep generating $ for years. Because I know with a email list, you cant just keep getting $ without doing anything.

Showing your face pretty much connotes that you are a credible person to deal with. That's why top people got to where they are right now, because they don't bother showing their faces and explaining and promoting to people their products or services.

Yes, it's very much possible to not show your face and have a text-to-speech program do the audio work, but you know, in this virtual world, we need real people, real expressions and real conversations.
If it won't be much of a big deal to you to show your face and do it yourself, why not?

As to your second question, I don't think you can earn long-term income in building crappy websites. Hey, why build so many small and crappy websites, when you can make a CREDIBLE AND HIGH-VALUE one or two, and still make lots of money from them?

    Good luck

No because if lets assume you do show your face. Let's take pat flyn for example, he makes a brand new website about health and fitness, the chances of people buying from him are really low because they view him as a business type guy not a health/fitness guru. Thats the problem i face, because I want to build more than just one business.

My humble opinion, always go for the "showing your face" style hehe. That is where you became an authority in that particular niche. People see that you are a real person, then they will trust you more. I would suggest you to focus on ONE at a time. Even if you want to start a new business, do something related to the actual business model.

Don't start a business with health niche then jump directly into internet marketing niche. They just doesn't resonate well with each other.

    Just my 2 cents. :-)

      I agree with Kenny.

Start one project at a time... If you are worried that you might not earn from it, then give it your BESTEST shot!

Yes but if I have like 4 or 5 blogs and keep writing and posting stuff in all of them, let's say one doesn't do well I can rely on the others. Let's say I do this for 1-2 years and get good followers and decide to launch my own products and get decent cash then I can show others on how I made this $ or followers or product or whatever. Now after I do this I make my final brand which does show my face and I can charge like 1000$+ dollars for courses and make the most $ possible. Because you can't just start selling 1000$+ dollar courses on any niche, only niche I can think of is how to start your own business and that's the one people willing to pay a lot for. Other niches like health you can't sell 1000$ courses.

I mean look at few people who make a lot like Derek Halpern and Ramit Sethi. They both do the same type of shit. Derek actually had many previous blogs and because he had that, that helped him build his main business and you can show people ur not just a random guy and you know your stuff. I mean you can say their content provides a lot of value but look at Ramit, has any of his students made MORE $ than he has? No way lol...

You answered your own question: If Pat Flynn makes a video on Fitness, it will obviously be crap because he is not a fitness guru.

Similarly, if you make videos on multiple unrelated topics, you would still be producing crap (assuming you are not da Vinci) that no one would be interested in, whether your face shows or not. Did you just read some book on SEO/AdSense written in 1960?

LoL, this is probably so far from the truth. Just because you're not a "guru" in a specific subject area, does not mean you can't offer value. His example of Security Guard Training HQ speaks to this. He's earning $2k/month from a niche site about security guards. He's not a security professional, but he still offers high value to that niche:

As you can see from the post, it's about BECOMING the authority, not already being one. Nowhere on the site does Pat share his name or give a video briefing with his face.

In my opinion, it depends really. If your English is fluent and you are marketing in the English world then you can show up and do the marketing videos yourself specially if you have a very appealing personality. To be honest with you, people don't usually care about you, if they've found you to be a crappy presenter then you know the result, first impressions last. If you don't have the quality of a very good presenter (unless you are already famous before hand even you're crap at presenting) you can hire a person who does or present your videos through good animation and do a text-to-speech or "natural reader software" for the audio. Google is famous but many people don't know Larry Page and I myself don't even know the face or Larry Ellison of Oracle (unless I'll Google it). though I've used Oracle in the past.

Sure why not! You can even use places like fiverr and outsource your video creation.

IMO, one of the big reasons people show their face and speak is to build trust and a connection, by using a text to speech, i don't think it will have the same effect

I am assuming most of the people who do affiliate marketing on this forum don't really show their face. Now the thing I was talking about was creating your own product which is different. But, if your promoting products like most people on the forum do (This is an assumption, Buying ads like bing/facebook/adsense and SEO to drive traffic. But, if your promoting like 2-3 product I dont think you can use ur face. If anyone knows Charles Ngo, hes one of the top affiliates and I never seen his face on any of the products he promoted...

No one said you couldn't do it. Why ask "Is it possible" if you already know people who are doing it?

We were just giving you the reasons why many people choose to show their face -- build their own personal brand, increase their visibility and build trust.

What you choose to do is up to you. You could always do power point or animated drawing videos. Or hire someone to be your spokesperson.
