Someone Posting my Articles

Hi warriors,
Someone is stealing my articles and posting to their site - health-andfitness.info. My site is currently down, and I'm working towards bringing it up again. I had already posted the articles in my site.

What is the best thing to do in this situation?

    If the articles were already on your site, they are already indexed by google so if someone is putting them on their site, they will get no value out of it.

      You're dreaming.

      It's not complicated to scrape content and outrank a weaker original author page.

      Google could care less, for all they know the googlebot first found/indexed the scraper site/page. Not that it matters.

    Sadly, you can't do anything about it unless you have legal paper that proves that you own the article and you have the copyright. Once you've posted the article to the internet, you've already exposed your work to the world that's why if it is so precious to you, you should have protected it in the first place. The best way to deal with it is to write/speak to the website that stole your article, most likely they will take it down... or ask them to put your name as author and link it to your site --- free marketing!

    Contact with the owner of that website and ask them to put source link or else put it down. If the agrees with you then good, otherwise you cant to do anything unless you have copyright papers.

    There is a process specifically for you to deal with this.

    First, find the offender's hosting company using WHOIS search. Many hosting providers have their own process for dealing with DMCA issues for sites they host.

    Here are the links to common hosting companies:If it's a different hosting company, do a search for "[hosting company] report DMCA" and it should come up if they have an internal process.

    If you can't find the hosting company, you may try here:

    https://www.dmca.com/FAQ/Report-copyright-infringement

    If successful, the site owner will receive a DMCA notice and/or their hosting account may be locked until they confirm removal. Repeat offenses will cause the hosting account to be closed.

    Agree with @unifiedac,
    The common algorithm of solving such issue:
    Removing:
    1. Write to a site owner and ask him to delete your articles
    2. Write to hoster provider and explain him situation
    3. Complain to Google: https://support.google.com/legal/tro.../1114905?hl=en
    Protect:
    4. Protect your content with DMCA DMCA Content Protection | Protect Your Content
    5. Implement Verified Google+ Authorship on your Site
    Practical piece of advice:
    6. If nothing helps and competitor's site on TOP with your content, you need change your content. Unfortunately, it's only way to avoid penalization because of dublicate content.

    That's terrible. You can try to protect them with Copyscape for example.

    If you're using WP, this plugin disables right click, pretty much stops the copy and pasters.
    WP-CopyProtect , I've been using it for quite a while with good success.

    I'd be worrying about all those backlinks with Chinese anchor text that you got.

    You could file a DMCA or contact their web host directly - but honestly it's pretty hard for content.

    I've operated a "subscription only" news website for over a decade and it's always been a pain in the butt to keep stealing the paid content and posting it for free.

    We just always try to stay so far ahead they're always the bad ones!
