running a split test on a follow up sequence

Hey folks, i'm in the process of trying to completely test my whole sales funnel for maximum conversions. You may have seen my other thread on split testing landing pages. I'm just wondering if split testing an email sequence is nearly the same as split testing landing pages? I have never tested between two different sequences. is it more complicated?. I've been trying to google/video search how to do this but i cant find anything! =[

    It's good that you're testing.

    Sending traffic to A/B landing pages is cool, but do you have a large enough email list to pull meaningful data from it?

    If so, simply divide your list into A and B (with roughly the same amount of clickers and openers in each) and broadcast each one with a different campaign. Depending on how long your campaign is, sit back and wait for the results!

    Split test your subject line first.

    The subject line is what gets users to open the message.

    Once you have that down, then you could work on split testing your message.

    The point is not to try and sell the user in the message, it is to get them to click your link.

    Open -> Click -> Landing page
