Need Google Optimizer advice...
I'm split-testing two different designs using Google Website Optimizer. The control version has normal urls: index.html, contact.html, etc.
I've set up an entire alternate site version using a new design with urls: index2.html, contact2.html, etc.
In the optimizer I've set index.html as my control page and index2.html as the variation page.
Visitors arriving at either index will view the same design on every page because the navigation is consistent.
My question is: Do I need to put the tracking script on every page in each site version or just the entry page (which is almost always the index page)?
In other words, does the optimizer use cookies to track the visit?
