Creating Sales videos-question

Hey Warriors, I'm working on a program that teaches beginners affiliate blogging. I've created a sales video with basic text that follows my voice over. The question I have is, should I include music in the background or not? To me, just sounds empty without the music but I need your opinion on this. Not sure if it would hurt my conversions or not.
Thanks a lot.

Yes - Light-heart and subdued when you are actually speaking.

Music is a good idea as it adds professionalism to your video. I would keep it very light though. I had to turn off a webinar video because the music was just too distracting. You want to add just a touch of ambiance but not distract from your message.

Many professionals use what is called "bumper music" - music used during the introduction and close of a video. Unless you have large gaps in your presentation, you will notice the silence much more than your audience. If you try to use background music, it's tough to get the level low enough to not be distracting and high enough to fill the silences.

Of course, if your content is crappy enough, viewers may embrace the gaps...
    (That's a joke, for the humor-impaired.)

I use music in all my VSL videos as well as all my training videos.

There is no right or wrong with this...it's all in your own taste.

If you like music in the background put it. If you don't DON'T!

Just make sure the music volume is well below your main speaking audio so that your prospects or customers can hear you clearly.

    Hope that helps!

    Don't use music...99% of VSL's don't have
music...you need a good, loud, deep energetic
    sounding voice...that is your "Music"

Think of all the great speeches ever given,
was there music playing in the background?

    C'mon.

    What John said.

In addition, I also use background music as a way to set the mood of the video.. but generally, not all the way through.. just the beginning and end.
