Overwhelmed beginner and need guidance

At this point I have no list but have knowledge and want to sell it.

There is so much information there that I seem myself going in circles and overwhelmed, not knowing where to start or who to listen to.

I know precisely what I want to do:
I have a clear niche defined
Shoot videos and write an ebook with a clear solution for a problem
The whole thing is going to be a step by step approach that the user can follow at his own pace.
This package will be succinct, clear and effective.
It will be electronic only with the option for the client to print the ebook.

Since it is going to be a simple product the price point will be low and I want to use this experience to learn about the whole affiliate marketing experience/industry and in the future make/sell other products.

My questions:
a) once I have my content ready, how I get in online/read to be sold?
Are there affordable designers specialized in this type of work?
where do I upload it? designer

b) How do I go about finding a JV to sell my product?

c) Should I stick to only one platform (ie: clickbank)?

d) Are there reliable guidelines for pricing and commission splitting?

e) what is the biggest mistake that people like me commit?

My apologies if this has been asked before.
I have the feeling that this is an old question but couldn't find a satisfactory answer when I searched.

    Yes.

Your web developer will do that.

    No. Why would you?

One mistake is to do it yourself. Hire a professional web dev firm or individual and half of your questions are already answered.

If your content is professional, then get a professional website also. That's my advice. I can see in a minute when a site is not professional and I don't tend to purchase from such sites.

I remember a few weeks ago when I started I had no idea where to begin and had no way to know what info was relevant to me. I had no clear progression path or goals and it was frustrating. I've noticed that a lot of the people on my friendlist who started when I did never made it past MR 3-4, I almost gave up too.

I'm writing this basically for my past self with all the stuff I wish I had known , and without all the stuff that I didn't need to know, so that the information on each topic is concise and easily digestable. Maybe it'll help a few other newbies.

It's going to be very basic things that we take for granted but that as a new player you will not know. As awesome as the wiki is , as a new player it has too much info to digest on every topic initially. These are literally just the questions I had during my first 2days and the answers I would have wanted, nothing more.

    Here's where to start: WIIFM.

All your prospects and customers want to know is "what's in it for me?" What benefits do I get from your offer/product? How will it solve my problem?

How do you know what your market is looking for? You ask your prospects. You begin with the needs/wants/desires of your audience.

Before you get too far down the product development path . . . may I suggest the following:

It's always best to start with your audience and not your product as you seem to be doing. That may be counter-intuitive for some, but the whole point is that you want to make sure you are going to be developing a product that will sell in your chosen marketplace.

So, I would ask, have you done any research to make sure you understand what people in your niche want? I'm not talking about "guessing" what they want because you have an interest in the niche. You are not your audience or your perfect customer. You are too biased and opinionated because you believe you have the answer to peoples' problems. We all are. We fall in love with our ideas and products and go to a lot of effort to put them online ... only to find out no one wants to buy them.

Have you asked your intended audience exactly what their problems are? Do you know what they have already tried to do to overcome their problems? Do you know what products and businesses you're competing against? Do you know what people in the marketplace are willing to pay for the solutions they seek? Do you know if they want video, audio, an ebook, a course, a membership site, coaching, or just what is the preferred way to access your solution?

Online business is all about the customer and what he/she wants ... not you and what you think.

Once you're done your research (and there are lots of threads in this forum about how to do it), most every question you're asking in this thread will be answered. You'll know what your most successful competitors are doing and how you can be a part of it, what your audience wants, where they can be found, what they'll pay for your product, and what is the best way go about reaching them and offering/selling your products in the niche.

That may be true . . . but if it's not what your market wants . . . you'll go to a lot of effort for nothing.

what is the biggest mistake that people like me commit?
Blowing off good advice someone took the time to offer. If you have studied your target audience and your competition you should have an idea of what platform to use to reach that target market. That's practical advice that can save time/money/frustration.

You can sell an ebook, etc from your own site - it might be suitable for Kindle and CreateSpace - or you might want to use Clickbank. You don't say whether you are selling knowledge acquired through your own experience in a certain niche...or knowledge gained by studying a subject online. Where are your competitors selling their products?

You probably won't be getting much more useful advice because who has the time to waste on you?

You need a website or blog such as Wordpress. Hire someone to set it up if you're not sure how to do so. You can find people on this forum in the Warriors for Hire section.

I would use JVzoo but Clickbank is another option.

Finding good affiliates takes some work. Try to find people in your niche who have a large email list. If you've been doing research in your niche you're probably already on some of these lists.

Find blogs on your topic and ask if you can write a guest blog with a link to your site.

Set up a Facebook page and buy some ads. Join Facebook groups that talk about your niche. Consider starting your own Facebook group.

Pricing is hard to define because it depends so much on the product and the target audience. Try different prices and see what sells best.

I think you have the cart before the hoarse

You seem pretty convinced that you have your market cornered.

But, if I may ask, research have you done--to make you so sure.

Also, I would not be so concerned about JV's just yet.

Before I would worry about that, I would figure out how I could drive traffic myself.

    Hope this Helps

I see that you got some
    good answers here,
so I won't repeat it what others already said.

first of all way the go that
you have a plan and that is very important
and will help you a long the way.

Now For all the technical stuff you can go to fiverr
(there are some great designers there, it depends what
kind of designer you are looking for and what
style I can refer you to one that I work with)
and for more advanced technical problems you got upwork.com
you can search for more websites in this style
but that's what I'm familiar with.

    Hope that helped!

and to get some 1 on 1 training. Trust me it is better that way, that is how i got started
don't waste your money on some of them products out there that is promising you
    to make millions online.

    b) How do I go about finding a JV to sell my product?

Find someone in your market and promote his product first. After successfully promoting him ask if he is interested in a partnership.

    c) Should I stick to only one platform (ie: clickbank)?
    You don't have to.

    d) Are there reliable guidelines for pricing and commission splitting?

pricing always comes down to what people are willing to pay for your product. It's best to start with a lower price to get some sales and then try out and test different price points.

Standard commission splitting is 50%. If you go below 50% people will think you are cheap and will not promote your. However you can give out more than 50% if you want to.

    e) what is the biggest mistake that people like me commit?

Biggest mistake is probably not getting started or quitting if it doesn't work out the first time.

If you are confident with your product quality that people wants it. (assume you have done all the research) I suggest you make a website, you can hire a web developer in a freelancing website, at this point you can start your marketing strategy like email marketing, forum marketing or even start using google ads.

    Good luck!

Find a coach, discover Fiverr and take action!
It sounds like you have a plan about what your trying to do, but are having problems implementing a plan you are confident in, that is why a coach is needed. The correct coach will keep you accountable, focused and help you prioritize your time. Spend some time researching a coach in your price range, that has success. Most of the "good" coaches offer a "clarity" session for free, where they will give you a chance to see if they are right for you before you spend any money. Listen closely and ask good questions, and once you find them....Listen and follow directions

Ditto what Steve said. It's the best and most reliable advice you will find.

When it comes to "technology" those things can be found with quick searches via this forum or even on marketplaces that sell how to books on product creation and marketing. This includes Jvzoo and Clickbank. Your options are limitless -- from Fiverr to 99designs to even warrior forum's markeplace. You really need to do as Steve said in a nutshell" Know your target market and follow your competitors." . Doing that will guide you since it'll all about researching then actually testing.

You really need to open your eyes and take every piece of advice given to you.

Good luck in your product creation venture.
