Google banned 1.7 billion ads

Google banned 1.7 billion ads last year. That is a lot of money. Well, they are turning into my granny. She is really nice. However, she does not like bad words like shoot or dam any. Basically, this is not a start-up company. What we have is a game. Not sure where this new development puts us.

    Google is a profit-driven company that isn't "beholding" to anyone except their shareholders. They do business as they see fit.

    They have a fairly consistent history of keeping advertisers "guessing" probably because so many, many marketers try to "game" their system and spam their audience (customers).

    You gotta tip your hat to them if they can filter their clients and keep control of what they allow and what they don't.

      Good point. Although it probably doesn't matter something to remember is that their profit is generated by their Advertisers.

    Where does this put us?

    It depends on who the "us" is.

    If your revenue depends on any of the nonsense Google killed ads for or publishing things not allowed or trying to game the system, your ass is grass and Google has fired up the mower.

    If you're following the rules and advertising legit products/services, or publishing according to their standards, it leaves you with less crabgrass to fight with.

    As Martha would say, "it's a good thing."

    They can turn into anything they want. They're operating from a standpoint of biases. Everyone's using a non-agnostic search engine. One that's controlled by a multi-billion dollar corporation that profits from the contributions of everyone. Unless that changes, everyone using their property's staying right where they are.
