New Domain Backlinking Question

Fellow warriors,

Having just bought a new .com on Monday and put some content onto it ready for google to list it.

Is it a bad idea to start backlinking before google has indexed it ?

Opinions please..

Best wishes

Pete

I wouldn't overdo it but I can't see why it would be a problem. Is the content any good or just keyword filler stuff?

Why would it hurt you? Who cares if Google indexed it or not, Google is not the only place you can get traffic from.

I would start building your backlink campaign. If it hasn't been indexed yet you want to treat backlinking like content publication. You don't publish 400 articles on your site at once. You don't creat 400 high quality backlinks overnight either.

Think of it like you are telling your friends about a product. You talk to a few at first. Then a few more. Somewhere down the line they talk to some so you get a bunch in one day but then a drop back.

Spend a certain amount of time each day doing backlinks. Then spend time writing good content. Then spend time commenting on blogs (also gives you backlinks), forums, etc.

Slow and steady will win the race every time.

Go ahead and start building links. How many new movie sites pop-up for movies
that are soon to be released that get thousands of backlinks before the official
movie launch, and they don't seem to get penalized within Google. I think their
is alot more to the link penalty than simply having alot of backlinks on a new site.
