8 ways to get your content read

I thought this may be helpful to a few folks so I thought I would slap it here

So these are my 8 simple ways to get your content read.

1. Make it snappy - Don't waffle on, cut off the fat and just deliver the meat

2. Utilise line breaks - don't just have huge daunting paragraphs break that bad boy up into manageable chunks

3. Break sections up with compelling headlines - Most people are skimmers, make the sub-headlines great so it pulls skimmers into readers

4. Create Bulleted lists:
  • You cannot stop yourself from reading this can you
  • It is just forcing you to read on
  • It's easily scannable
  • And it looks different to the rest of the content

5. Highlight strategically - Don't just bold things for the sake of it use it strategically to draw your readers eye

6.Use the power of numbers - Look at what you are reading now this is a numbered list and look at you, you cannot stop reading

7. Check your formatting - If a reader just skims through your content only looking at the highlighted and emphasised parts will they still get the gist of the article?

That's the aim because that will pull scanners in to being readers

8. Don't stress yourself - Have fun and write like you talk

All this will be pointless if you don't have a converting offer to drive those readers to, so figure that part out.

I've always enjoyed interspersing my writing with really short paragraphs (think 3 words) that highlight my main points. I feel like it gives lazy readers a way to skim the whole thing without doing too much work, and it also helps to draw people in to the longer sections, if it's engaging enough.

Great tip I like really short paragraphs at times too I feel like if used correctly it can change the pace the reader is hearing in their mind and really keep them engaged
