Any advice for growing an online brand? Already trading.

Evening

New to the forum so go steady on me

In a nut shell, I'm looking for channels/ideas to market my brand, helping to take it forward.

We manufacture and sell our own car car products through our own brand called Autoglanz.

We have a good little following with a very good return customer rate, good order volumes daily etc etc & use all the normal marketing platforms like FB (including paid ads), Insta, email marketing via Mailchimp along with mandril for lost conversions, youtube videos on a low level etc etc.

I enjoy learning in regards to marketing, this is my brand, I've built it and want it to succeed going forward but i just feel we could always do more and continue to progress.

So basically, my questions are, beyond the above, what would you guys as marketers suggest for a business like ours? What do you feel would yield good returns or help grow awareness of the brand? Any hidden secrets

Thanks in advance

    The hidden secret is.....

You need to do a ton of Content Marketing via Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and your corporate blog....

    Or...

You can pay Bing lots of money for clicks....

Just be sure to earn more than you spend....

I just gave you the "Golden Ticket" without charging a red penny. :-)

Thank you for your reply, much appreciated.

As stated originally, we already have a good following on Facebook, our Facebook page has a health 5K followers, we post very regularly on the page and almost always gain 1.5-2k engagement on said posts. Our competitors struggle to get in the higher 100's with more followers let alone in the 1000's This is growing at a steady rate, i do not wish to add users who will become non active as they are pointless and simple a waste if we ever advertise to the page members. Coupled with this we have 2 Facebook groups within our niche with 12,000 collective members, both groups being very active. As a who;e we spend a large amount of time on Facebook engaging with customers, beyond the obvious growth of this audience and also improving our content i do not see how we can grow the Facebook channel at a healthy rate without wasting money.

Instagram, yes we utilise the platform and post 3-4 times a day, we have only recently committed time to the platform so time will tell here.

YouTube, again we use this on a low level. something to improve for sure.

Twitter, not a fan if I'm honest. not very well suited to our niche. maybe I'm being a bit unfair but whenever we confront customers and ask if they use the platform we get an resounding no in response so i would be convinced that time could be spent better elsewhere. Especially when you put out man hours into perspective. We only have 3 employees and we manufacture, market, package and improve everything within this small team. Twitter in my eyes simply would not yield the return needed for ourselves.

We also have an effective re marketing campaign via google ads, i tend to steer away from normal PPC as my knowledge of the platform never seems to yield many conversions but re marketing campaign on the platform work well.

So, beyond giving Bing money for the fun of it, improving social media platforms that are growing well and yielding a good amount of revenue what are we missing? How or what could be added to improve? Would SEO be the only answer in an effort to improve our organic searches?

We understand that offline sales drive online traffic also. I'm not here do find ideas to improve our offline marketing, i simply want to see what OTHER avenues can be explored online with good effect

      Thank you again

Hmmm isn't that strange, we find our remarketing does not do as well as the regular ads... how big is your negative keyword list? Our neg list dwarves our keyword list... this is probably the secret you are asking for.

I assume you are targeting only the relevant regions and age groups ? Have you substantially reduced your bidding to see what happens ?

Find out which search terms people are coming in on the ads for with your campaign, and start putting the garbage keywords on the negative list. This is something we do monthly.

If your goal is branding. .....you should really look into native ads and Google display.

I would also endorse Google Display Ads for branding. The cpc cost is surprisingly low for the brand exposure. Also, consider press releases for Branding and new product announcements.

    Good Luck with your venture.

    Hello,
I suggest that you or your company start to invest time and some money (not much) in outreach marketing strategies.

That is the difference between selling a few units of your products or services to hit the critical mass and start selling by thousands

There are many tools to achieve that goal , i will just share a few that i use:

    - Buzzbundle
    - Ninja outreach

learn how to use them and you will see what i am talking about.

    Regards,
    P.R.

Here are some channels/ideas that should be effective in marketing your car care products brand...

    1. Car Advertising
If you sell car care products, then offline car advertising is a no brainer. Sure you've seen a handful of cars with business names on them driving around from time to time.

All you have to do is strategically get some of your satisfied clients to have a descriptive and catchy tagline of your business on their car to get you some brand exposure. This can be as simple as your business name, what youre about, and an easy-to-remember url people can type into their phones and computers when theyre not at the wheels.

    2. Industry Magazine Ads
Whatever anyone has to say about print ads, the fact remains that industry-based trade publications are still doing very well for themselves and their subscribers.

Placing your ads in one of these magazines is a great way to get your business in front of others who are equally as serious about your industry.

    3. Referral Program Backed With Customer Referral Rewards
This is a no brainer to drive not only brand exposure but sales. Since you run an online store, you could set up a referral program via affiliate sales where a straight commission is paid out every time or loyalty points is applied towards purchase discounts in the future.

Just make sure to offer a referral reward incentive to your existing happy and repeat customers so they get something in exchange for every referral they bring in.

    Notable Mentions:

Give Away Huge, Free Stickers, Car Magnets(with your url & tagline/usp), etc with every purchase. People love free stuff and will proudly place these stuffs in their cars, tables, laptops etc etc...

You could also build partnerships with complementary businesses and carry out joint marketing campaigns...

Looks like you've got a pretty good collection of products that appeals to a very massive audience (car owners that worship their vehicles )

You could really build some mind share with Youtube imho. Tell some powerful stories around cars after they've been detailed using your products. Make sure they pack an emotional punch and aim for some viral exposure. Lots you can do with videos.

As others have mentioned already, you can get some traction via display ads (still quite economical in 2017). Before you ramp that up though, make your landing page more interactive. I would give the product more 'personality;' something a visitor can connect with when they arrive on the site. Those girls? They should be talking; preferably with a bottle of Autoglanz in their hands, on their heads, anywhere really -- just make sure the product is front and centre.

The branding on the packaging could also use some improvement I think... You got a USP? Include it somewhere on your packaging and on your website... This USP could help shape the personality of the product.

Essentially: your marketing should be so good, it gets car owners talking about Autoglanz every chance they get. For that to happen the product itself has to have a life of its own... It has to be known for 'something'. Don't make it just another car product. Yorkies were not meant for girls, after all

Here's some inspiration for your Youtube vids (just put autoglanz in there somewhere):
    Good luck mate.
