Hi, i have just started getting into making books. I have finished a book

Its for moms who need a change of lifestyle. Where they can start a business from home instead of trying to find a job & a baby sitter. I am new to the kindle world so i was wondering if anyone had any ideas how to promote books.

You can also try promoting on different sites, forums, social media, groups, etc. where people may share an interest in the topic of your ebook.

There are lots of way to promote ebook. You can promote through social media or through ebook promotion sites. Just need to do a little research.

You can either write short PDF reports linking to your link.

Start off by providing relevant and helpful information on Microsoft Word or Open Office.

In the form of say 3-4 articles you can write by yourself or outsource to freelancers at Elance or Fiverr.

Then convert them into PDF format via Adobe PDF.

Before submitting to document / PDF sharing sites like Issuu, Scribd and Slideshare.

You can also consider getting word out on Facebook and Youtube videos by sharing based on those articles.

Hope this helps even though I know others might have better and more helpful tips than mine.

You need to became an authority in that niche and show people that you are an expert .You can create a youtube chanel and post valuable videos and you can offer your book in your link in description .You can participate also in forums with a link in signature but first you must add value

  Unfortunately, they don't make exceptions for that or they'd have to make exceptions for many other reasons.

To be successful with eBooks you really need to know your market. If you have written a book for stay at home moms then you need to share your book on Facebook groups and sites (following the rules) where those mom's hang out. In addition you should be building a newsletter to target them. You can use Amazon and Facebook paid posts also to get the ball rolling.

Use Lead Generation.

Provide a few extract or a simple briefing or tips in exchange of prospect's mail and then try to sell the ebook.

I advice you to use Fb ads for this specific niche.

Facebook ads can really eat up your bank account. I do think it's good to use ads but be sure to know your market first so you can target accurately. This can be done more easily if you have an email list (even a small one) to make a Facebook audience for your ads in your FB ad account.

I'm sure the guy thought he would sell heaps of books related to Stay at home mums on a forum that appears to be predominantly male.

I feel the badgering about the link he added was over the top. The only people not acting like adults in here are the ones having a go at him about the link.

Lighten up.

OP - Good luck. I'm sure you will do well. Perhaps try Facebook groups - there are lots of people in those looking for work.

There are several ways you can do it. At first, star creating some profiles on popular forums related to your niche. Build your profiles and add the signature link. Create a squeeze page and send traffic to that page. You can also buy advertisement space from niche related forum.

Post some pages of your ebook in slideshare account and add your links to buy the book.

Create a fb page for your book and run ad campaign for targeted fb likes. Just choose stick with it and keep tracking and improving. Thanks :-)

Move into full-scale promotional mode.

1. Start a blog and post content daily for your target market of new mom's
2. Get on social media and produce content - ideally video these days on Insta, Facebook and Twitter - get your content out there to attract an audience
3. Run ads on Facebook and Insta where you can target specific groups including new mom's
4. Consider putting out or teaching a "Work at home for new Mom's" home study course or video program - a single ebook on Kindle, it will be tough to make that pay off. However if you have a back-end product like a video program (on Udemy or delivered via your own membership plugin) - then you can price your ebook low on Kindle to attract wider audience and mention the full course where you will pick up some back-end sales

I use freebooksy to promote my book and there are other similar services. Remember that you need a lot of positive reviews. They will help your book move up. Believe it o not, if you make it to position one... amazon will start to promote your book for you. I try to get big name bloggers to review me. They are pure gold when it comes to sales as you will see.

FB Ads, Bookbub, Robin Reads, etc.

I'd google the advertising sites that allow you to submit and then it gets send to their newsletter for a cost. There's tons of a lists to find, then just brute force it, and contact them all.

Look for forums related to your niche and sell your ebook there.

Try Kindle. There are many sites and forums related to Kindle that you can advertise on as well.

Why not promote your ebooks on your list?
There it will convert better- as on amazon, in amazon the most kindle books I seen have zero reviews- also zero sales there, lots of them on amazon.

Facebook and other social channels are not in buyer mode, most marketers know this, so build your list first (with social media too) then promote it to your list.
