Urgent Help Needed Wordpress

Hey Warriors,

Today I logged into my blog, and noticed that posts have disappeared despite when I attempt to edit the post, all the text is still there, and it was showing 30 minutes prior. I have changed nothing.

I am using wordpress 2.84 latest. Has this happened to anyone. Disappearing posts? Any solution?

    Hmm,

    I traced down the problem. So to help someone else if they encounter the problem. I remembered that I had just updated a plugin, which was called "Seo Smart Links", for some reason, the plugin is causing a glitch in wordpress, making posts disappear. I deactivated this plugin and my posts came back.

      Glad you sorted it out.

      Plug-ins tend to be the source of such issues. I like to keep them to a minimum.

    The latest upgrade to 2.8 has been and is still riddled with problems... we had to downgrade several clients back down to the last truly stable version which was 2.7.1.

    Make sure you export your data at least every other day is my suggestion. At least then when and if your site blows up, you won't be crying as much.

    It is in the tools section on lower left hand side. Default is all authors, I suggest you use that and then hit the export button and save this puppy.

    It will save you a lot of grief if something does happen. Then after you get it fixed, you just import and you are close to back to normal.

    Cheap insurance for sure...
