Google.com vs Google.ca

Hello Everyone;

I have a question in regards to the all mighty Google. Why is it that I rank very well in Google.ca and not so well in Google.com. I am in the top positions in .ca and barely on the first page and sometimes on the second page for .com I can believe that it has to do with the fact that I live in Canada does it?

    On Google.ca, they tend to rank Canadian domains higher and return more Canadian search results than Google.com, so if your domain is registered in Canada, hosted in Canada or has a Canadian whois address, it will rank differently.

    Someone in Canadian s more likely to be looking for a Canadian site, so that's what they try to return more of... which is mostly why I search Google.com, so I can get the most relevant results, vs. the most relevant Canadian results.
