Please help . Best options for selling greetings online

I'm working on a greeting website site where I want to sell two kinds of greetings. Images of cake with funny messages written on them mostly for birthdays and also for other stuff like Anniversaries, friendship, etc. And the other type of greetings are images
of cards with funny messages written on them. Please keep in mind that the recipient is not going to get a physical cake or card . I want to sell these images for a dollar or two assuming that they may not go for a higher prize than $2.00. Below is the link to my website so you can get an idea but right now under construction and this is the sample version so you guys can take a look if you want to. A desktop version is currently the best one, I am working on the mobile version and I haven't done the tablet version yet.(Phone version may look a messaged up right now but I am working on it )

I have some questions which I would like your feedback from especially from those who could truly provide some help

1.Is there a small market for this kind of service ? I am not looking to make thousands of dollars from this site. I will be more than happy making $200 a month as in my country that's quite a lot of money.

2. What is the best way to promote my service ? I know Facebook is one good option. What other good options are out there ?

The biggest question is is there even small market for these kind of fun stuff that ?

I really do need to make a couple $100 a month. Anything more would be a bonus but right now that would be a lot.

Really need some feedback from people who can help. Thank you in advance.

It depends on whether you can make your cards better than the ones currently available for free online, then people who appreciate it would be willing to pay cash to get it.

For strategy, offer the normal looking ones for free on your website, and make the fancier ones paid version.

The majority of users of ecards use them on social media, while few others use them with email. You target these people.

    Sell in face book
    Using Facebook ads
Even your greeting cost you $1 You can easily sell for $10-$15.
But it all depend on the way you market in Facebook.

Nope not a hope sorry to say , that is why there are lots of free sites and the ads on the websites dont work as well due to adblokers I have not seen an adsense ad in years nor pop ups

You've got a good idea there. (Hopefully not too "good"/meaning there are too many other similar Websites.)

My suggestion would be to offer your Greetings for free. (Then, when you have a enough traffic and/or subscribers etc. monetize them.)

    P.S.
Something to consider is that you're not in the Business of selling Greeting eCards. ... (You're in the Business of making people smile. : )
    (= Awesome.)

    Peace.

"Is there a small market for this kind of service ? "

I believe there is and I think it may help to brainstorm things in these 2 areas:

Who is your customer - young professionals or perhaps teens
What is their problem - they are looking for something unique to send

And I guess your websites can be a good resource for this unique greetings..

I agree with Jonathan, give it something for free, build your traffic first and I think monetize it for adsense.
