I would do the traffic exchanges. Put up a squeeze page with the e-book. Something eye catching. The traffic exchanges can bring lots of traffic but it´s not that targeted so you need something that catches the eye fast. I would suggest that you use the traffic exchanges that take from 10 to 15 seconds to load. It takes you longer to rank up points but you get longer exposure. Surveys - Announce results through media releases, articles and blog posts. At the end of each drive people to your landing page or site.

Free Traffic is not free.... To get free traffic you need to put hours of time building links and writing content.

I havn't tried this, but Jonny Andrews told me Adeel's Mass Article Control is Doing well. you might try it..

Thanks very much guys and girls, much apreciated help.

I'm a record producer, I recently produced a band who after 3 months of forming played alongside Marilyn manson and Slipknot. They were all under the age of 18.

I've developed a system that pretty much anyone can follow, to scientifically produce records using analysis tools etc, rather than relying purely on having magnificent hearing and musical sensibilities.

The website is nearly finished, I'll link up when its done

If your time does not cost much, you can submit relevant articles to article directories (Ezine, Free-press-release etc.) and forums (WF, Digitalpoint etc)

Blog or Hub comments; get associated with websites, blogs and hubs with top rankings and make useful/helpful comments having rich targeted keywords used(don't forget to do a proper research). Just don't spam with this privilege. Yahoo Buzz and Answers are quite pretty rewarding. You can also signup and freely write hubs at HubPages and watch your traffic increase daily for free.

video marketing period, use traffic geyser or tubemogul to broadcast your videos.

don't do any traffic exchange, too much trash sites doing it

save your ppc budget and hire some high quality seo services that will drive traffic for long term. 100$ can have you a video created and submitted to major videos networks, and you'll get much more traffic than with PPC if you target the right keywords

if there is high volume search in your niche, i will always suggest the seo high end services

Traffic Exchanges are only useful if you are targetting traffic properly.

Sapphire always says you get "lots of hits and no sign ups" if you are promoting an affiliate program. Her recommendation is to use TEs to build a list.

On the other hand, if you are branding at least it's getting you seen. Your name and face will become familiar to surfers who will see you at a later date.

And it's all unique hits for little effort.

Time for some old school. Remember back when ebooks came in .exe format?

Create a ebook with a preview of the first chapter of your book you wrote. Another idea: you can write a outline of your book containing the preface or intro a page, about the author page, and the chapters with a small paragraph for each.

Either of these options would leave your readers hungry for more. Then you can create this to in .exe form and put your ebook on file-sharing websites. Also you can offer it for free to build an opt-in list which would be great to advertise your full book.

i agree. trafficexchanges is the first thing all new marketers try but its a stupid waste of time, cause all this are webmasters also there and all these webmasters just want also traffic for free and not buying or something like that. maybe you generate a lead after 1000sites surfed.maybe...

LOL Nice to see this forum is still as anti-traffic exchange as ever.

You can listen to the people who say they are a waste of time...Or you can use them the right way and target your audience.

Use squeeze pages, know that the majority of the surfers in the T.E.'s are new, so they are a blank slate which you can be the first contact they have online (this is very powerful)...

So as the 'experts' up above have shown, it's full of garbage....I guess 'new marketers looking for someone to help them out' is garbage, call me the Garbage Man!

1. Write a short ebook/report about your niche/product

2. Give it to every Ebook Reseller you can find

3. Watch the free traffic flow in.

First thing I'd do is put my website url on the forum signature.

Social media marketing is a great free lead generation avenue. I use Twitter, Facebook and Youtube.

If you have time article writing, start your blog, squidoo lenses, hub pages, craigs lists, trafficswarm.. all free ways of generating leads.

You might want to try PPC first to see which keywords and landing pages convert for the most targeted traffic. That way, you won't waste your time building links for SEO or other purposes to pages that don't work.

Very interesting take. Most people suggest using free traffic like article marketing to find what converts, and then to use PPC to scale it up. I've found article marketing doesn't actually generate sales, so I guess I'll move on to PPC to test things out.

It is time or money. I find putting the time in pays off more becuase then
1. When you outsource you know what you are doing
2. You are a experienced personand can handle obstacles
3. You will run a more profitable business long term.

I use to spend $1000 a month on PPC, when I was young and niave and now get way more traffic and not spend a penny.
