Huge Discrepancy Between Google Analytics and Google AdSense reporting

I woke up this morning and checked my AdSense like I normally do, and I'd made way more than I was expecting. I checked the page views, and they were high. Really high. Then I went over to Analytics, and at first glance it didn't look like I'd had any more traffic overnight than usual.

So I took the AdSense reported page views for the last week, and the Analytics reported page views for the last week, and I compared them. For the last 6 days (not including today), the AdSense reported page views have been 1.34 times higher than the Analytics reported page views. So for example, if Analytics said I had 1000 page views, AdSense would say I had 1340.

And then I checked today's pageviews in both Analytics and AdSense, and found that the AdSense reported page views was over 4 times higher than the Analytics reported page views. This is 3 times higher than the average over the last 6 days.

I looked at some historical records (from over a year ago), and they match up with my last 6 days at around 1.2-1.4, but nowhere near 4. I've never hit 4.

So what I'm posting here for is to ask if this is happening to anyone else, or if it has happened to anyone else in the past. I've got a feeling AdSense might be over reporting, but if they're not, I've got no idea what it could be.

Anyone got any insight?

I use adsense on my blogs everyday and collect the money....however (to be honest) I focus more on other aspects of my business to bring money in and don't put to much energy in analyzing adsense clicks. To me, the checks are just a nice bonus to everything else I do...sorry I couldn't be of more help, but at least you can see how I look at this

Yes I have also noticed such issues with analytics. The analytics traffic has always been less compared to other traffic measurement tools. I am not sure about the reason behind it but it always happen with me.
