Do You Prefer a U.K. Content firm Over a New Zealand Content Firm?

Hello,

So, I am in the dilemma of where to set up my business. I have zeroed in on both U.K. and New Zealand.

However, I do have some questions and I would really appreciate your answer.

1. Do you view a New Zealand content firm on the same level as U.K. one?

2. What do you look for primarily in the content firm when you are making the final choice?

I will really love if you can let me know your views, as it would help me take the next major financial decision in my life.

    I don't think it makes a difference.

Both of them are native English speakers so their command of English should be impeccable.

Only difference is that you'll have a much larger pool to choose from in the UK due to a much larger population

Thanks for the reply. That's true. However, there are two factors that I believe makes New Zealand a better choice. One, I will have lower set up costs. Two, since this is a content writing agency, I believe reaching out to U.K. customers won't be a problem too?

Your location is India. Unless you intend to hire local UK or NZ content writers, it won't make any difference to the result.

Thanks for the reply. Of course, we will hire local writers, and clients can choose whom they wish to work with.

The entire process will be transparent. I have to disagree with your statement though that only N.Z, U.S. or U.K. writers can write good English. Since this is a forum, I am going ahead to tell you why. Most of the Indian writers that people generally hire are ones who take to writing as a last resort.

In India, you have parents telling young kids to only go for Science or engineering - and those are the two streams that they join, even if they write really good English. Only a select few do not. People look to freelancing as a part-time thing - just a way to make some 'extra money' to get through college or to support themselves. They do not view writing as something that requires skill - and the end product is that we have people posing as writers who cannot string two sentences together.

It's a little bit wrong to say that Indians cannot write in English because a lot of the nation's schools have English as their first language.

Our content marketing agency will follow a two-thronged approach. While we will always have local writers, from say N.Z., to cut costs and get better clients, we have developed a methodology that chooses the very best writers from other countries like India. This, we believe, is what will separate us from other content firms out there as it will help us to leverage in on better growth and sales, and cater to a wide range of client needs.

You might want to stop advertising long enough to fix your signature.

    I am in the dilemma
No one said people in India can't write in English. There are common errors made in English that identify a writer as non-EFL to anyone who is accustomed to reading online.

What is your purpose in moving to another country to set up the business?

Just wait a second – so what you're telling me is that my chance of surviving all this is directly linked to the common sense of others? You’re kidding, right?
