How to deliver CONTENT by SMS / Text?

I've searched the forum and found a load of threads about Marketing via SMS

What I want to do is deliver short messages which are in fact CONTENT from the membership area so that time sensitive info is not missed by those unable to get logged in to the website

Can anyone point me to a cheap & simple way to send the same message to all my members phones?

help appreciated as always

I know of Twilio but you have to know how to integrate its API. It's who a lot of the big guys use.

When it comes to delivering custom content via SMS you've got a couple options. These will be dependent on the nature of the content you want to send. I've listed a little insight below based off my experience here at AvdiMobile.

Your content is the same for all members.
SMS marketing application providers allow you to capture opt-ins using custom keywords or upload an opted-in database. Once a database has been established you are able to schedule campaigns or text message blasts to push your content out via a text message. If the content is accessible via URL you can add a link directly inside the text message for end users to click on. The SMS messages can be scheduled for specific dates or sent out instantly.

You content is unique for each member.
This situation will require a little more work and the use of an SMS API. Just like the above mentioned solution you would need to partner with an SMS marketing application provider with an SMS API.From there you would determine your message flow and use various functions and calls to capture member info and determine what specific piece of content to send to that member. Just like before you could add links. On top of that messages could be personalized based of member info. This type of text message solution takes more time to set up, but would be a 100% customized solution.

Best of luck to you in your SMS marketing endeavor! I'm happy to answer any other questions you may have!

      That's fantastic thanks

I'll be in touch. I need to deliver messages with a time related action involved. Everyone gets the same message. Much like a broadcast autoresponder e-mail.

These texts will be created and sent not, could be scheduled - I'm looking for an easy and cheap web based delivery for around 300-500 subscribers to get their content. It's not intended as a marketing / lead generation idea.

You need to integrate the API of any of the SMS provider out there like infobip or Twilio for example. Triggered with the activity performed.
