For the past two weeks I have been going around and around and in and out trying to work through a software glitch. Involved in this peripatetic discussion was a Frenchman, a Hungarian, an Indian and myself. Just when I thought everything was about to straighten out, it would resolve to another different phrase that had been misunderstood.
It wasn't that everyone was speaking their own tongue -- the problem was that everyone thought they were speaking English. By this morning I felt like a semi had driven me through a brick wall head first.
Then the Indian came up with the solution.
