Is this a good WordPress video course to give away for free?

Hey guys, I am just wondering if a few of you could help me out a little?

I am planning to create a free Wordpress video training course to centre my website around, and I was just wondering if I have maybe left anything out during my planning?

Below is a list of the videos I am planning to create for the course... do you think there is anything else I should add?
  1. Welcome to the course
  2. What are web hosting and domain names?
  3. How to register web hosting and a domain name
  4. Installing Wordpress and logging in
  5. Change Wordpress password
  6. Logging into WordPress with new password
  7. Introduction to WordPress Dashboard
  8. What are WordPress themes and plugins?
  9. How to install WordPress themes (both ways)
  10. How to install WordPress plugins (both ways)
  11. Add pages
  12. Add blog posts
  13. Add images
  14. What is the difference between a website and a blog?
  15. Setting a homepage or a blog roll (website or blog)
  16. What are WordPress widgets?
  17. How to change the sidebars (Wordpress widgets)
  18. Creating custom menus
  19. Add or remove www. from URL
  20. How to update permalinks to show page names
  21. How to turn comments on and off
  22. How to add a contact form
  23. Embedding YouTube videos on Wordpress

Do you guys think this is a good beginners course outline? Or is there anything I should change?

See... I plan to give this course away for free, and then I will create a few different paid courses to market to the people that join the free one.

Hopefully this makes sense, and thank you in advance for any and all input! :p

I love making video training and have done many of them. I like to test my market first before going through all the work to build out the content.

Have you thought of doing a test to see if you can find people interested in your WP tutorials?

This would entail putting up a squeeze page and running some traffic to get and idea of how much you will be paying per lead going in.

What kind of traffic will you be running to your offer?

You may want to rethink this effort. There are many free WordPress courses to be had online, at both beginner and more advanced levels.

    Thank you.

Mate may want to rethink this strategy on the free give away as there are lot of course for free pasted over the net and about 5-6 warriors I know of are doing the same

I would go for the $5 membership its just enough to not to be missed by the CC holder each month , and also will bring in more newbies that you can target later

There's plenty of people who would buy that. In fact most of my customers complain that they don't know how to do those things. You've thought out your course well.

Why not sell it as an eBook version for $7-10 on a dimesale.

Then do the video version for $17-27.

Then $27-$37 they can become a reseller and keep 100% on ALL 3 products in the funnel.

I'm curious as to why you think that someone would buy something from someone with no experience in constructing a course when the same thing is available for free and compiled by those with course-building experience?

It's great to encourage people, but it's more helpful when you honestly evaluate the commercial viability of their proposal.

I would encourage the OP to do some research. Discovering what is already available may point them toward something that might actually be a bit more lucrative.

I'm afraid that building a new WP course would wind-up being a no-win situation. There honestly isn't a need for this. A simple Google search will demonstrate that fact.

      Thank you.

Just because you can find something for free doesn't mean people won't pay for it. Just look at the oldest profession it doesn't seem to be going away anytime soon

You'd be surprised at how many people don't know how to Google properly or just seem unwilling to.

Out of curiosity how many of your own products have you sold?

Will it make them a million dollars? Highly unlikely but it's a stepping stone.

If you are going to put all the effort into giving it away for free you might as well try selling it first. If it bombs you could still give it away for free especially on the backend of any product that is a WordPress plugin and the person learned a TON in the process of creating a product.

There are tons of Udemy courses on WordPress, lots of amazon listed products and lots of digital products involving WordPress this proves it's huge hungry niche and people pay for stuff on this topic.

@MartieDread if you are serious about creating this I'd be very open to discussing it with you as a possible product to sell.

Mate I don't think you can openly solicit on the forum best done by PM and you may wish to edit out last two lines
