Anyone for testomonial barter!

Hi everyone,

Anyone willing to provide me with Testomonials for a product that I will be launching couple of weeks time from today.

I am willing to reciprocate if you have products or plans for which you yourself need testomnials. I require minimum 15 hot solid compelling testomonials.

As well as above, I will reward you with a OTO offer page that sells rights to 50 hot digital products (you get both the 50 products and the actual OTO offer page salescopy you can use yourself for your own OTO or just as normal product page just by deleting the OTO notice on top).

Obviously you will get to review the actual product free of charge as well so yu can provide testomoinial more tightly related to my product.

Kindly IM me to let me know of your interest.

    you're joking, right?
    this is fraud.

if you want some testimonials, just give your product to some people so they can give it a try and give you a real review of it.

The original poster is actually offering their product for review, here's their quote:

after reading it again, maybe I jumped the gun a bit. It sounded like he wanted 1 person to provide 15 testimonials.

Kindly read the full thread before coming to conclusions. We all owe it each one in the forum to respond sincerely and you can only do that if you first take time to fully read the warrior's post.

Actually, it's not fraud. He did say that you would get to review the product for free. He probably should have left the word barter out of the title and just said that he has review copies available to those who would like to review his product, but doesn't seem like a federal case to me.

    Hi Smak

I have read your OP and while Jason's comments may be a bit harsh, he has a point.

Firstly, you titled your thread "Anyone For Testomonial (sic) Barter", thus suggesting a bartering arrangement for testimonials.

You then reinforce this by stating:

Originally Posted by smak View Post

    Then you attempt bribery. Namely:

I will reward you with a OTO offer page that sells rights to 50 hot digital products (you get both the 50 products and the actual OTO offer page salescopy you can use yourself for your own OTO or just as normal product page just by deleting the OTO notice on top).
    Then this sentence:

Obviously you will get to review the actual product free of charge as well so yu can provide testomoinial more tightly related to my product.
    (My emphasis)

I've highlighted the words "as well" and "more" because their use implies to me that you would have been prepared to accept testimonials from Warriors who had not seen the product beforehand. Of course, I may have misread your intentions in that sentence, in which case I apologize.

However, IMO, it's not a good idea to tout for testimonials by offering an automatic quid pro quo or, worse, by outright bribery. And you should be supplying a copy of the product to all potential reviewers as a mandatory action prior to expecting any testimonial.

i did read it - and the way I read it, you were asking for someone to give you 15 testimonials is exchange for you doing the same. I believe the way you titled your post framed it this way, and hence the reason I read it as such.

It never ceases to amaze me that people ask for testimonials rather than reviews.

If you mean reviews, say reviews.

Asking for testimonials is Bush League. Not only is it a disservice to your market, but also a disservice to you as the product creator.

If you instead solicit honest reviews, chances are you'll get confirmation of the quality of your product and/or suggestions as to where you can improve.

Testimonails should be unsolicited. And it's easy to tell the difference. No testimonials at all looks way more credible than solicited ones.

Besides, someone who reviews your product can't possibly know the true value unless they implement what's in it. Sure they can offer their opinion of value. But until they implement your teachings, opinion is all that you have.

      Here's an example...

You have a super duper new diet plan. If 10 warriors simply read the ebook (or whatever) for the purpose of reviewing it, they're pretty limited as to what they can say about it. Possibly something like...

This is a killer new plan. I don't see how it won't work unless you don't follow it. If you're struggling with your weight, you need to give "super duper new diet plan" a try.
Whereas a customer who has implemented the diet can say...

I've been following the plan for 3 weeks and I've already lost 18 pounds! I'm so excited. I thought I was doomed to wearing sweat pants for the rest of my life. But thanks to "super duper new diet plan" I threw away my "fat" jeans because my waist size went from a 44 to a 38 in 3 short weeks.
I'd rather have an offer completely void of testimonials than one filled with testimonials like the first example above.

We have to understand that not everyone has great english or english grammar skills due to the country they're from or just generally. Sometimes it's necessary to try and understand what the post is saying as a whole rather than taking it in a literal sense.

        Just my contribution.
