Wordpress question on downloads

Can someone tell me how to add a PDF download to a wordpress site? I'm creating a site for a friend and they have a download (adobe PDF file) that I downloaded to my hard drive and tried to add to the wordpress site under Wordpress Download Monitor plug in but keep receiving an error. Is there any other easy or quick way to add a downloaded PDF that a user can click a link that goes directly to the downloaded form?

Basically I want to have text on a page that says, "click HERE for the car show registration" and they click the HERE and it takes them to the downloaded form.

    if nothing else, you should be able to just ftp the form to the server and link directly to it.

    Go to media section and upload the pdf there.

    then see what is the document URL and create a link in the correct page.
