How to Get Tons of Friends on Twitter it's EASY!!

I want to talk about the HOLY GRAIL of Twitter...Getting More Followers.

It is Crazy to pay a service to show you how to get followers when you can get all the followers you want for FREE!! Ready?

First, go to Dossy.org/twitter/karma/. Enter in your Twitter Name and password. Dossy will go get all of your friends and then you can sort them by who is following you back and who your just following. Click away the friends you don't want to follow anymore. This will help you to even out your following vs. followers ratio for the next step.

Next, go to Twellow.com and enter in a search field for the type of friends you want. If you don't know what type of friends you want then just enter in the name of an industry you want to find folks in. You are now looking at a list of all the top people in that area. Just click on one that you like and then select their followers. Now, follow their followers!! (30%-40% of the people you follow will follow you back)

Be Careful...You don't want to go crazy and follow a billion people. Twitter will not like that and may Suspend Your Account. Try and stay within 200-300 people of the number that are following you.

Repeat every 48-72 hours...

This can all be automated and can also be used to generate a ton of leads for whatever business your in but that's a post for another time.

I hope this will help all those folks who are tired of being taken for a ride by those cheesy adds on Twitter.

Yours in Success,
-Andy

I like more followers, but lately I've been thinking that its more important to have readers. If you set up a lot of tweets and schedule them, then the people who are really interested in your content will start to follow you automatically. Then you can follow the people who follow you.

I've found that since I started doing it in reverse that while my followers do not grow as quickly my CTR from twitter has improved a lot.

Personally I don't want followers just for the sake of having followers.

I will say the the method outlined by the OP will work as I have built accounts using similar techniques, but I'm just not convinced this is the best way to go about it.

Who cares how many followers you have. It is a stupid metric to stroke your ego. What you want is customers or readers. Not a bunch of bots that follow you.
Put quality content out and you will have converting traffic, not a number in the upper right side you can brag about.

I've found that having more follows helps you appear more credible, and it also helps as you get more and more people following you because they found you through someone else.

That being said, you are right about wanting to build a tight list if you can, it will convert better.

I do agree with having more followers to increase credibility.. then it will gain more of the reading followers.

I am also a proponent that supports engagement marketing, where we really have to genuinely use Twitter as a conversation medium with real words rather than bot tweeting. That would also lead to better conversion rate.

Hi, thanks for this, however i prefer to use Total automation for twitter management so i use autotweeting.com or hummingbird.

just set these programs up once and they do the rest, however they are not FREE.

I think you will also find some automation software on the forums.

Some great advice here. I just started using twitter and found out that they have a max of 2000 that you can follow before their ratio kicks in and then its not as easy to follow etc.

You can follow a few hundred new people wait a day or two and then unfollow anyone not following you and do same thing again and that can get you a few hundred every other day.

I think that most accounts that have 20-50K followers etc took place before they imposed to 2000 limit.

Interesting idea, I'll have to try it out. I'm not currently using Twitter (mostly because I've been looking for ways to make it more efficient without getting booted), but this will make life a lot easier. Of course, it only matters if the followers are good quality traffic.

I just dumped 3700 people I was following and started re-following people one by one. I immediately lost almost 1000 followers. Call it Twitter Karma. I dont really tweet that often anyways :-)

But I started going through and found hundreds of followers were not real or bots or people who built massive lists of following and followers yet never tweeted about anything. WHat's the point?

But I'm enjoying Twitter immensely again. Being able to follow real people, not just spam bots, finding new interesting people and just being able to manage what's going on has been a breath of fresh air.

My advice with Twitter will be the next one - don't try to get everybody as your follower. What is the point of that? I am choosing each one whom to follow. Cause i want that they will be my readers.
    It is easy... really...
Another advice - i hate auto messages. Really... That's why it is better to send by yourself personal messages.
Actually... in less then 24 hours - i have 120 followers. :-) Pretty good one.
And last point - you need to have nice background and avatar as well.

Listing/following the followers on a profile does not seem to work anymore on twellow. Can anyone confirm that ?

It lists the follower count, but i only can follow the current profile from there. I'm using Firefox 3.5 on Mac OS.

I have found that Twitter Karma doesn't seem to work too well anymore above a certain number of folllowers, around 9,000.

Has anyone else found that? Now what? build a second profile?

sorting through the people I'm following and weeding out the ones who are
not followingme back can be a huge pain and take hours.

    Hi guys

here is a free twitter ebook that will show you the robes:

Free twitter ebook become a twitter expert in 24 hours

I find though the best way to add followers is to chat about the hot subjects of the day for example right now its halloween. After all twitter is about building up relationships with your followers not just mass following.

    kind regards

Topical, yes, and also interesting and/or useful.

Here are a couple of things that tend to get responses, retweets and more subscribers...

        1) cool tips (with or without non-merchandise resource link added)
You might even try to figure out what specific audience you're after and then brand your tips.

I often send out stress tips since that's one of my major areas, for example. And then add a link to one of my related EZA articles.

        OR

        2) A great quote (preferably somewhat related -- either inspirational or funny if it fits your list)

        OR

        3) Retweet when you see someone else tweet one of the above. In fact, do that very regularly because it makes you look like a good twiticen ;-)

Always be on the lookout for great quotes or great tips by other and retweet as appropriate (not all at once of course).

Also thank people who retweet you, using @theirname so people see you interacting with others.

I've taken your technique and automated the process with software. The software goes to Twellow and finds users based on your keyword phrase. It then selects a random user in the niche and adds up to 200 of their followers. It then waits for a random time between 48 to 72 hours and then at random time intervals (to appear human) stops following anyone not following you back, it then waits 24 hours and repeats the process until you turn it off.

I'm testing the software at the moment, just to see how well it works. I'm also going to make it multi-threaded so that you can run it on as many accounts as you want.

I'll give you a complimentary version of the software when it's completely finished, to thank you for your excellent strategy.

      Cheers Rob
Can't wait any longer to used it...

I have a twitter account for each website's "expert" I own - a lot of them.

I use a freebee every day Autwitter - Automate Your Twitter Jobs and add an additional 100 folks each day per website. I simply search for a term, on twitter, relevant to that website and follow 100 folks. I find that 25% of the folks dutifully then follow me - haven't a clue why. I do this first thing each morning while waking up with a cup of coffee.

I will also find a person who I'm following, that looks like an expert, and follow their followers. Still average 25% who wind up following me.

I then use ReTweetize - Multiply Your Twitter Reach to build up Points by re-tweeting 4 folks per day per Twitter account

I then use Retweetize.com and plug my posts on my websites.

I've noticed increased traffic - don't know if it's worth all the work but will keep doing this for a while.

All of this is free - I've bought just about every Tweeting program out there and autwitter is just as good and better than most.

      Hope this helps...

Cheesy ads....I wish everyone knew how to use Twitter and Facebook to benefit their Business. There is nothing worse than friending someone and they just Spam the crap out of you every single day. To use them more effectively, just build relationships and the rest will follow. I only offer my Business opportunity 1 out of 10 times that I post. The rest of the time I provide valuable information, or even a simple motivational quote. Excellent post!!

    For what it's worth...

I get about 100 followers a day just by sending out useful links. If I find something I really think is interesting, I'll jump on twitter and send it out via bit ly...I try to do this about twice a day. Anytime someting I can retweet catches my eye, I'll do that as a courtesy anyway. Generally speaking, if I'm intersted in it, someone else is interested in it. About 1 in 25 or so is a link to one of my web sites.

What I need is advice on how to eliminate the bots. Any ideas?
