After blogging for years, where should I start in Affiliate Marketing?

In my professional opinion, I would say go with Click Bank. I am both an affiliate and vendor with this platform, and it's one of the largest digital sales platforms on the internet. They also offer the highest commissions up to 75% per sale, and in some cases even as high as 80%.

Clickbank is the best place to get started, with a huge selection of products to promote.

Affiliate Marketing is a nice way to monetize your blog but you have to do it properly.

Choosing which products to promote largely depends on your audience and your niche, For a start, Clickbank is good to begin with. But Clickbank doesn't pay commissions worldwide. There are a coup other things to pay attention to.

The best way to promote Affiliate Products as blogger is through affiliate reviews and this works so well. It's pre-selling the product to your audience.

In some cases, product owners would get for you unique coupon codes for your audience and that boosts sales.

If you have products you are already using on your blog (premium theme,plugins,etc) go check out if they have affiliate program and start from there.

Share your experiences, your successes and your results. Show your audience how you use these tools to get those results. You are surely going to generate sales.

If not you should start right away. You can offer a free give-a-way repost with useful info on your niche as an incentive to get people to opt into your list. People who opt in should be entered into an auto responder such as Get Response or Aweber. This list is the list of people you can market to later. The idea mentioned above of selling Clickbank products makes good sense.

Why not use offers from Peerfly (I'm assuming you still have your account)
Why not try PPC again since you have experience?
You should always try a landing page (at least split test)

If you have a blog, that should be a good benefits to sell affiliate programs. For better conversion and your asset, you need to have lead magnet setup.

You can do affiliate marketing with your blog. You can start with Affiliate programs like Clickbank, CJ, Shareasale etc.

I would say Amazon. I know a lot of people who have had success from it.

JV Zoo is another platform that you can use to sell
affiliate products in addition to Clickbank.

You can buy solo ads through Udimi which regulates
the solo ad sellers to prevent fake clicks if you want
to pursue that route.

No! don't do direct linking, your effort will be just turn into waste.
My advice is to create landing page so you can build your list because it would be the biggest asset in you. Select your niche that has a good product to promote. and think about the niche which will always be in need of. and find some good products to promote with. the product that is rising not falling.. Send traffic to your best landing pages. split testing them which is high converting.

Although some here will disagree, I got my feet wet with Adsense on my blogs when I first started back in 2007. They were all Non- MMO niches and still earn me money today

Try at first Clickbank: everyone used or still use it. Passed through Clickbank.

You need to build a list with an opt in page, and then nurture and market that list.

Something to consider is that there is a big world outside of IM / MMO.

For the past 16+ years, I have been promoting PPL (pay per lead...lead generation) offers. This is because there is no credit card or purchase required to complete an offer. All a user has to do is fill out a form, so conversion rates are typically much higher than offers that require a sale to be made.

I favor offers that have a make, get or save money benefit to them, as they have overall performed the best for me. Plus they tend to have greatest mass appeal (will be of interest to a large general audience). So the potential exists to produce high volume and they are fairly easy to cross promote.

The bulk of the offers I promote pay $20-$40 per lead, but I also promote offers that pay more and less. However, what an offer pays is not the sole key factor in choosing offers. How well an offer converts is just as important, if not more. For example, you could have an offer that pays $9 and if it is converting at 2X+ of a $20 offers, it will perform about the same or possibly better. At the same time, you could have an offer that pays $90 and if it converts poorly, it may not even be worth running it.

Some of the verticals that I have done extremely well with are: insurance, education, loans, assistance, credit, mortgage, debt, homeowner offers, discount offers, etc...

Bottom line, it's just simply far easier to get someone to fill out a short form than it is to get them to take out their credit card and make a purchase. So why beat your head against the wall trying to convince users to buy this or that, when you can just provide them with free info for something they actually need/want and get paid well doing it.

Phew, a lot of advise but not much else.

Adwords is unfortunately the best, but their kw costs are so high, it is next to useless, (WP, keywords are $5 average).

And you have to spend a week just reading all of their crap TOS, in order to use it without losing your account. Believe me it is very hard to get it back again.

I tried them about a year ago, set up a website, and found that they don't allow squeeze pages anymore, and only allowed a link for signups, usually on the last page down the bottom, in others words, next to useless.

About the only way to use AW now, is to sell a product for very little, and then sign them up on the backend, alone with as many products as you can, to recover some costs, as no matter how much free stuff you throw at them, it is very hard to get another sale.

But some do manage to sell stuff to their list, so it is possible.

But l found for Internet Marketing, very hard thing to pull off.

But sell a very good PLR product, (might cost you $30) for $1 then sign them up, and get some more sales. Not sure whether AW frowns on Clickbank, but l wouldn't be surprised.

Be you cannot direct link to a Clickbank product.

Do that, and say by, by to your account.

ClickBank has been around much longer, it is popular but it is also more complicated so i recommend JVZOO , which is fast, simple to use and also highly intuitive. It has a broad range of products and its a great choice for beginners.

If you have blog traffic, I would actually recommend Amazon for affiliate marketing. There are gazillions of relevant products to promote, it's easy to get started, and you can start to figure out the types of products your readers buy.

In addition, most of your readers probably already shop there, so there is less buyer resistance to making the sale.

Search and find an established Affiliate system that you can just plug into and start making money. This is making the difference for me.
