Creating a successful affiliate website

I recently started a new affiliate site which has an excellent user interface and includes various blogs etc but I am struggling to drive traffic to my site. I have done my research and there are many different ways of driving traffic including paid ads, back links, blogging, google adsense etc but as yet I still have not found a suitable, cost effective way of doing it. I am spending time on social media and have done most of the above but still I,m not getting anywhere near the amount of traffic I need that will convert into sales. I know that many people out there have been through the same ordeal and at some point must have been successful. Can anyone share their pearls of wisdom or supply new ideas for perfecting this seemingly difficult task.

What niche is your website? I see that you tried many methods - sometimes the secret is to focus on just a couple of things that work instead of trying many methods all at once. Which of the methods you described brought you the best traffic (quantity and quality as well)? I think that you should focus on it, and further develop it.

There are various ways to increase traffic on one’s website like the Search Engine optimization, blogging, using google adsense and paid ads. A new way is also to include some best and useful apps which may be got free or come paid. However the user must have a note on what is driving the maximum traffic to his site. Once the answer is established, he must use more and more of it to get his traffic on the go and ever increasing.

What is the niche? How many followers do you have on social media and what do you mean you are spending time on social media? are you interacting with people?
