Getting Commissions from Offline businesses?

How do you recommend setting up a commission system with an offline business so any time I recommend their product to a possible customer (and a purchase is made) I get a cut of the sale? I know there has to be a way to do this, but my research has found very little information on how to set something like this up for myself.

You close the sale for them, and take payments either with a VT or they 'the client' accept the cash or check and kick commissions back to you.

I was thinking more so with coupon distribution online. I'm doing web development/design work for a few clients and I was thinking of a way to generate more sales plus get a commission.

Example would be a non-profit that does movies across the city. I want to help her sell more tickets to her films and get a commission for every ticket sold. I would then expand this to other businesses in the region as a service.

How would these tickets be sold? Online, offline or both? You could license some affiliate software like HasOffers, and integrate it into her system if it's all online and work out a PPS flat rate or % percentage.

I think I will apply your suggestion to what I'm doing. I'm going to cold call business and ask to sell their products on my website that I will be promoting. Once someone makes a purchase I will take my cute and have the business mail it off to the customer (and the business will have to handle customer service from there).

Amazing how people now a days delete their comments. LOL

Maybe I'm missing something when it comes to that.
