Business disappeared from Google Maps and Knowledge Graph, how to fix?

client runs a business which is known in the area by a certain letter combination. Let's say "NBA Services".
In this part of the world (Eastern Europe) "NBA" does not get a lot of searches, so "NBA Services" has been the first answer to "NBA" search in the area. The companies website has been the top answer to the search, business location has been on the right side on Knowledge Graph and all has been well.
Since last week, when searching local Google for that business, the sidebar has been either empty, or showing NBA, basketball association's description instead of the client's business info.
The business has disappeared from Google maps too. What could be the causes and how to bring the business information back?
The client is already filling in, again, all of "my business" information and waiting for verification.
