Sell used internet marketing products?

I have bought quite a lot of internet marketing products the latest year.

Now I'm broke.

Am I allowed to sell then second hand on this forum?

I don't think so. If you don't have any PLR or resale rights license, you can't sell. Thanks :-)

    hahaha... welcome to the club

you cannot sell products as is, but you can use them as inspiration to develop your own products

    examples:
    1. combine and rewrite a couple of products into a new single product
    2. take a pdf and turn it into a video product and add your own spin
    3. find the holes or gaps in a product and improve upon it during the rewrite
    4. when making your new product do a pdf, video, audio version for upsells/downsells
    5. pick a product and do a case study of the results

    hope this helps.

    good luck!

Likely no. You would need to either contact the sellers or review the TOS.

      not resell as is

there are plenty of products that left something out

      make it whole

rewrite it using your own unique spin

      give it a new title

and you've got a brand new product

you're stealing anybody else's intellectual property

you're using these course that you've purchased as inspiration

      do not copy, be inspired

I believe Chris is correct, reselling any product as is would have had to be part of the original purchase terms. sometimes, though, it's true so perhaps review what you've purchased to see if reselling is allowed. Perhaps you've forgotten? Good luck!

If you have bought anything with PLR you could rewrite them as your own. That is really the only way to use someone's work as yours.

there is very little in internet marketing that is completely new and innovative. most of what is being sold out there is just rehashed versions of existing products. first, I would say to implement and take action on something that you bought. you can create a case study on one of the topics, and rework the idea to be your own. if everything you bought totally sucked, cut your losses and move on to something else.

pull out your phone and shoot a video at a thrift store about retail arbitrage. show yourself looking at a few items that have a higher resale value that what it costs you to buy. now go home and list those items on ebay or amazon. record your screen with a free recording software. edit the video in a free editing software. finish the video series with a final thoughts video, showing the final sales price, and discuss what you learned.

bam. you have just created a "case study" or "over the shoulder" step by step hand holding a to z video on how to make money in your spare time with a low investment. It doesnt cost anything to set up social media sites around the videos, and build a youtube channel. link all the socials to each other, and to the youtube videos. you can upload all of your videos to youtube with a private setting. provide the links after payment.

put your ad up on facebook marketplace, and cross post it to all of your local facebook buy sell trade groups, yard sale groups, etc. put it on craigslist. anywhere you can advertise it for free. post replies to peoples questions on instagram, and facebook groups relevant to your videos. People will read your replies and look at your pages.

It takes time to do the vids and posting, but you can easily make a couple hundred in a week, and if you keep getting more traffic, that will keep going up. prepare your follow up product and do it all over again.

I would check with the vendor when you bought it.....Also, check in the the Terms of Service and see what the rules are. Most people don't read them so no one really knows what they can or can't do with the products. When you buy PLR it does tell you what you can and cannot do with the product.

Most of the products are copyrighted - did you purchase resell rights? Probably not. Most of the products likely have a clear statement about reselling or a statement about copyright.

The advice above to "rewrite" such products is horrible advice.

This is not the first thread recently by someone who bought multiple items over months or a year...and now want the money back to spend elsewhere.
Sometimes the only answer to a question is "no, you don't have the right to do that unless you have permission from the seller".

I hope others will think about this thread. There is no point in buying multiple "IM products" if you aren't going to utilize them. If you are ONLY spending money - you are a buyer, not an internet marketer.

Why not USE the information/training/advice in the products you purchased to EARN some money?

That sums it up perfectly...it's too easy to become a buyer when all of the products are available to help you make money...usually by becoming a seller and developing your own authority instead of being part of someone else's

One of my favorite ways around this is you'll see some "clever people" who have a "business partner."

      So.......................

They essentially go in 50/50 on a product or service and both have full access to it.

I use the term "favorite" very tongue and cheek....

That's what I've been doing, you think all that glimmers is gold? I've failed somehow, by it's not by not taking action. I've invested my time + energy + money in completely wrong directions.

After staying up one night spamming twitter with amazon links I made like 4 cents, but since it is not something you can build a business doing I ditched it.

I'm considering the harsh reality that I've listened to people who sells methods that don't work in real life, but they do know how to deal e-smack to infojunkies like myself. Usually there's some vital piece of information missing in the instructions.

Some of the Knowledge that is in most of the products is not proprietary or copyrighted so, as some suggested here you can develop your own product inspired on them. Of course you need heavy rewriting and redesign of Landing Pages, VSL, etc.

You're totally misinterpreting what I'm saying.I'm saying I have a lot of information products, and I would like to sell them. They're probably completely worthless since I haven't made any money with them despite lots of effort. But maybe someone would find interest in buying them for some reason.

No, I am not interested in becoming a guru, I have higher moral standards than that. I hate it when I get pitched with vague arguments about making money online, and when I end up buying the product it's basically a guide saying how I can become a guru like the guy that just sold me the infoproduct and how I sell the same information to some other smuck looking for a get rich quick scheme. I have no interest in becoming one of those guys. Those guys doing "launches" and they teach you how you make big money as an affiliate promoting all of those guru launches, 99.9% of those guys doing launch promotion have no clue if the product they're selling is worth any money at all they just take a quick look at the sales pitch and calculate if it will make them a quick buck or not. Not sustainable either, make a few sales here, until the campaign dies, then start over again...

Some guru on FB I bought from told me I could have a "free gift" if I replied to his post. I replied. What did he give me? An hour long affiliate sales video for a product that cost $2000. I told him I was not satisfied with my free gift because I had to pay $2000 to get it.

I said that if he gives his children gifts like that on Christmas they must be crying every year. He said he gave his kid a TV for Christmas and that I could use the "education" in the video that's free. Yeah right, I watch the home shopping network for entertainment value as well. I sent him an affiliate link for a TV on Amazon and said thanks, here's a gift from the bottom of my heart to you. Then he got angry because I sent an affiliate link and called it a gift! He said that he never asked me to buy something, that I came to him, and that I was wasting his time. Then he blocked me on facebook. Indirectly yes he did ask me to buy from him because he's all over the internet with his sales videos.

There is a lot of well intentioned advice in this thread but ultimately what you need is to check the law.

In the EU the Court of Justice ruled in 2012 that you can sell digital products second hand as when you complete the initial transaction you gain ownership of that copy. Obviously you would need to delete your original copy after selling. You don't get the right to distribution so you can't go into business selling multiple copies of one product.

Point is it's complicated and terms don't really matter if they illegal.

So get legal advice because it may not be same where you are.

Some of the other advise in this thread shows the general mindset on here. It doesn't matter that you are broke and that the stuff you've bought obviously doesn't work* just rewrite it and sell it to someone else so they can fail too.

No wonder there is such a stigma attached to this industry

I'm not in the EU.... Thank God! :-)

      Now.....

They created a "nice loophole" for the "clever people."

One person buys a $5,000 course... He and his 9 "business partners" chip in equal portions...

They pass it around like a book for the first round....

After that, they have a "virtual shelf" where one person checks it out as needed... Still, like a book. No extra copies ever...

They've just cut the course creator's income by 90%....

This is another reason to base your business on products and consulting....

That is interesting - I wonder how the law is applied if the product clearly states "may not be resold"...any idea?

Long ago I didn't care for ebooks because I couldn't pass them on to friends as I could used physical books.

Disclaimer: I am not a legal expert and nothing i say should be construed as legal advice.

With that out if the way

The clause is void as the seller has transferred the ownership (of that copy) to the buyer. That copy is now the buyers property.

As a result the seller forfeits the right of distribution of that copy.

The seller still maintains copyright and the right of distribution and reproduction. So legally you could only sell your product once and should then destroy your original copy.

Amazon have a patient on the redistribution of digital items so it's feasible you could have a second hand Kindle market.

You can only sell them if you have resale rights or private label rights. You must remember that the people who sold you the original product have copyrights to them. They also put time and effort into creating them. Your selling them without permission is the same as stealing from them.

Here's an idea...why don't you take some of the information you have learned from some of the products you have purchased and create your own product? You could put a simple squeeze page together and offer the product as a freebie for people to join your list, then sell them paid affiliate products on the back end.

    Just a thought.

Lol. I've been there. Why didn't I think of that I look at the money I've spent in a few ways. I've learnt stuff from each product, I spent a little time going over products and in that respect they are somewhat entertaining.

Take what you've learnt. Stop buying as many new products. Find one or two marketers you trust and follow them. Dont give up.

There's some good advice here. I'm glad this topic was started because a lot of people are in the same boat.

I have bought some products that haven't worked out. You do what they say and it just doesn't work. You end up thinking you did it wrong and you don't bother asking for your money back. It's a bad cycle. I'm guilty of not giving some programs enough time to work and then something else comes by that I then try. People want fast results.

My opinion is that you have to choose a product you have, that you somewhat like, contact the marketer behind it and ask for help. See if they give any help to you. If they don't choose another product and do the same thing. Find one with some support and then work that product.

What I did was I found a plugin that really works well for websites that have traffic - it gives you extra income with existing traffic and I put that info into a free PDF where I talk about how it helped me and show my results. I'm then an affiliate for the product and I make some commission when someone buys it.

So, it's a case study. You're showing people that a product works and that's valuable. You win twice because you found a program that works and you get paid when someone buys it through you. You also get to help people that are struggling... so 3 wins.

Don't give up. Keep working at it. My advice is don't go chasing something new or you'll get stuck in that cycle.

You're broke with numerous blueprints and plans so I doubt you can sell anything legally or otherwise.

You are not alone in buying many products. Look the ones you have already bought. You are sure to find a couple things that are good. I did. Write down what you think are good/interesting. Go on to next one. Something good there also. You may be able to use a little bit from each product and even come up with a product of your own.

I think you missed two things....

First, wise sellers don't offer a refund unless you can prove you did everything mentioned and had no success...

Second, some sellers don't offer a "money back guarantee" because they know 99% will not take any action... They see their "responsibility" ending with providing information... and not results.
