Hi, I decided to have an internet business by doing affiliate marketing. I've read articles and watch videos regarding on how affiliate marketing is being done. But right now, I have no clue on how to start with little capital on hand, especially that using the tools needed for internet marketing and traffic generation requires some bucks.

I also have some questions :

1. I'm planning to promote offers from jvzoo.com because I can't create an account with clickbank even though my country is in the list. Is jvzoo a good place to start? And can you recommend other affiliate marketplace ?

2. Where can I find other training resources regarding affiliate marketing?

3. I noticed many people in the internet claims that they make 5 to 6 figures amount of income per month by doing affiliate marketing. How is it difficult and how long of a work is needed in order to achieve that result?

Your advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  • For networks, I would also consider Maxbounty and Peerfly
  • Jvzoo is good, anywhere that you can find affiliate products to promote is pretty good usually. Find everywhere that you can to learn, find out where marketers hang out and try to learn everything you can from all the hang outs. Find some of the bigger guys in the area and see if they do training. Making 5-6 figures is a lot of hard work and dedication and thoes who make that always have a list that they can email. So spend time learning how to list build, and spend the time to learn how the follow up with their list and what they do to promote.

  • Your best bet at becoming successful at affiliate marketing is promoting products that are in demand. You have to determine which niche you're interested in promoting. The most popular niches are:
    -Wealth
    -Relationships
    -Health
    That's It!
Of the 3, the most popular is wealth. I mean, who's not interested in making money? It's a universal concern. Just about every affiliate product on JVZoo deals with how to make money. The first thing you have to do is to sign up as an affiliate. This is the easy part. The next step is to become approved by a product vendor for the products you want to promote. This is the hard part. In order to be accepted by product vendors they want to know who you are. This is important to them because how you promote their products can help or hurt their reputation. If you were to spam the internet with their products it could damage their credibility as vendors. Not saying that you would do that but that would be one of their concerns.
This is my recommendation: Find a product that you're interested in promoting, buy the product, use it to get results, make a video of your results and send it to the product vendor. You can make videos for free on Google Hangouts. There are also other free programs out there that you can search for. This will easily get any vendor's attention. Once he knows that you used the product and had success in using it he knows that you would be a good candidate to promote it and he will probably be willing to give you a chance. Hope that helps.

  • 1. What type of traffic are you going to be using? Will you be building a website? Landing page? We cannot suggest a network without understanding exactly what it is that you plan to be doing. Affiliate Marketing can be done in many different ways and in many different industries/verticals, each with their own intricacies. The correct network for one person is not always the correct network for someone else.

    2. Search this forum and ask questions. Just try to search the forum first to make sure you are not repeating a question that has already been asked.

    3. How long is a piece of string? This varies by industry, promotion type and level of luck! It is impossible to say, but I can say that it takes a LOT of work and is not the quick money that newbies often think it is. Don't think about that at the start, find something that works for you and expand it, then look to either grow or replicate it. If you do the right things then the money will come. Don't be impatient and don't try to earn the big money straight away, it takes time! As I have said on here before; If you fail to plan, you plan to fail!

Good luck and feel free to ask anything you need!

  • 3. It's really possible to earn 5-6 figures amount monthly, but it really depends which niche you will start with. You have to think about that as somewhere it could take longer that you start winning more, other niches will be easier for getting on top but there you will make not so much money. So everything depends on you and your skills of course. If you are really motivated and clever enough, you can do it anywhere.

  • I start on fiverr and seoclerk. Sell some service and now. I make $200 per month
  • 5 to 6 figures a month is easily doable with CPA affiliate offers. I highly recommend you go the CPA route and scrap jvzoo....just my opinion. ..

    • In order to earn by promoting CPA offers, can I do it without my own website? What CPA affiliate networks can you recommend?
  • If I was just getting starting out I would join an affiliate system like Wealthy Affiliate or My Lead System Pro.

    • I tried to signup with wealthy affiliate but it seems that free membership is not available in my country. I just cannot yet afford the membership at this time.
  • Okay, while it is a great idea to earn some passive income (and am doing the same) I think you are going about it a little backwards, at least as far as your potential customer is concerned.

Affiliate sites are in my view about information, about being the authority on a particular niche, this is what will bring traffic to your site and in return people will (hopefully) click on your links and order through the source supplier. If this isn't so and you are simply regurgitating information they can get anywhere then why should they bother?

So, I recommend that you have a passion or at least a decent interest in what you are supplying so that you can offer added-value make your content rich, feed the masses with information, then you stand a chance.
  • You might also want to look at Warriorplus.com for products to promote, and also from which to learn. Another very respected website to learn marketing skills is WealthyAffiliate.com

  • Ah...it seems to me you have a lot to learn. If I can give you one single advice...Learn where you can get traffic from, methods of getting traffic. Choose one way and master it. Once you learn where from and how to drive decent traffic, then find the product which those specific people would really like to have. If you find the group of people and give them what they really like, you will make money. It's that simple and it's that complicated at the same time.

  • Thanks for all the replies. I admit that I do have a lot to learn. Right now, I'm trying to build my list while promoting an offer at the same time. What are the traffic sources that can you recommend which is working in your experience? Right now, I'm looking at Bing and Facebook Ads
  • Study, apply, study apply, test, study, apply, test... Lost of stuff to be learned about - but you have to start RIGHT NOW!

  • In this field you will be deviated a lot and this deviation may take you to hell( if you don't know how to analyze what you are doing) or to heaven (if you know what you are doing).

Best thing is to have a mentor, atleast at the beginning stage, he will keep you focused. But be very much aware in choosing your mentor, there are lot of fake people out there in the market.

If you do have any questions to ask, feel free to send a private message
  • Okay first, I forgot to mention that my field is in Software Development and now I'm trying to venture into internet marketing. I don't know if it will be an advantage to me but with regards to the technical aspect, I can easy understand all of that. What I think I need to learn is the strategies in promoting an offer and traffic sources that really works. I do agree that sometimes I feel being deviated because of the overwhelming information in the internet.

    • Honestly, if you are from a software development background you might find developing and selling your own (simple?) software product would be the easiest way forward.

There is, I think, still lots of potential for writing products like useful Wordpress plugins or maybe desktop-based IM-related products. Those might not take you all that much work but others would find them very useful. They would be something you can sell as a WSO, via Clickbank or whatever, and help you build your list (you can sell it at a very low price, as long as you are building a buyers' list). Then the affiliate marketing part would come a lot easier.

    2. Blogging
    3. Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
    4. Social Media

    6. Landing Pages

    8. Email Marketing

--Price: A higher priced product requires more copy because you need more proof and copy to overcome objections.
--Medium: Some promotional strategieslike Google Adwords, Twitter, and author bioscan only accommodate short copy. In that case, knowing how to capture attention quickly with just a few words is enormously valuable.
--Goal: If the goal of your copy is to get someones email address your copy can be much shorter than if your goal were to sell something.

    • I think many are starting to see the efficacy of this. I know Iam and it works well all the way around ( even with products that are highly involved)...i.e time factor to produce, conversions if done right, etc...etc..

  • I just posted this in another thread, but it is relevant and worthwhile considering.

There is a big world outside of IM / MMO and even selling products.

For the past 16+ years, I have been promoting PPL (pay per lead) offers, which is just lead generation offers. The reason is that there is no credit card or purchase required to complete an offer. All a user has to do is fill out a form, so conversion rates are typically much higher than offers that require a sale to be made.

I favor offers that have a make, get or save money benefit to them, as they have overall performed the best. Plus they tend to have greatest mass appeal (will be of interest to a large general audience). So the potential exists to produce high volume and they are fairly easy to cross promote.

The bulk of the offers I promote pay $20-$40 per lead, but I also promote offers that pay more and less. However, what an offer pays out is not the sole key factor. How well it converts is just as important, if not more. For example, you could have an offer that pays $9 and if it is converting at 2X+ of a $20 offers, it will perform about the same or possibly better. At the same time, you could have an offer that pays $90 and if it converts poorly, it may not even be worth running it.

Some of the verticals that I have done extremely well with are: insurance, education, loans, assistance, credit, mortgage, debt, discount offers, homeowner offers, etc...

Bottom line, it's just simply far easier to get someone to fill out a short form than it is to get them to take out their credit card and make a purchase. So why beat your head against the wall trying to convince users to buy this or that, when you can just provide them with free info for something they actually want/need and get paid well doing it.

    Something to think about.

  • One of the best ways to get started if you open a blog and post quality contents and keep doing to get a great following. You'll build an authority in this market soon otherwise it'll be difficult to make 6-7 figures with affiliate marketing if you don't have your name spreading around the web.

Another good way to get started with launch products, build a buyer list and promote related products to your list. Thanks :-)

  • JVzoo or clickbank is good way to start.. well you have to ask yourself what would be product you want promote to. but i suggest Making money online or health products. if you choose health products you are good with clickbank since they have many good health products unlike with jvzoo more one making money.
after you decide what niche you want. you can start with list building, creating landing page for your offer and send traffic to your landing page. so you can collect emails. else if you have big investment you can start with creating review website or blogging..
there is also done for you business in a box where everything set up for you. and all you have do is send traffic to your landing page. This is what im using right now because the landing page is high converting and very cheap instead of creating one with leadpages which has monthly fee.
  • jvzoo is really good! You can reg and get link aff from vender, then you'll promote products.

  • 1. JVZoo is great, you could also try Warrior Plus if you don't want to use JVZoo.

    2. I would recommend you get a mentor, however those are often expensive, but if you want to make money you need to invest money

    3. It takes a lot of time and effort to build a business, but once you have it developed, you can get by with as little as an hour of work per day. The amount of time it takes to build a business depends on your work ethic and how much time you invest into it.

  • That covers a wide area.

A lot of the people who I know are actually earning substantial amounts from Internet marketing are software developers.
