Clickbank affiliate links are not working (varying circumstances)

Hi guys,

I am finding that Chrome is not allowing clickbank links to go through (when using the string of mixed characters as your affiliate link), it just stops cold and the page/link does not resolve. I turned off all extensions in case this was my problem, but it still did nothing.

When you use the other method to (direct) link to an affiliate site, when you click to the money page, Chrome shows "affiliate = none".

This same money page problem occurs with Firefox if you use a tracking ID, but works fine when your link is created only with your affiliate name and do not include a tracking ID.

MS Explorer works fine in all instances.

Is this a Clickbank problem, or does Chrome hate us making money?

Anyone else having this problem?

I don't think that it has anything to do with the browser. Plus, I don't think that you should worry too much about "losing sales". Just focus on getting good traffic to your website on a consistent basis.

Thanks Talfighel, but testing indicates variations based on browser. I tested more links today with the same results.
As for focusing on traffic - why bother if you don't get paid? I am still making a modest income every month, so every sale is important. If I'm not getting paid for my efforts, well that's important to me. I really need to know for sure.
      Thank you for your feedback.

I have seen many people complaining that Clickbank links doen't work for them in Chrome, however the same links are working for other people. Have your tried using Clickbank links on Chrome from some other computer? as it might be a particular computer problem as well.

Hi San, that's a good idea. I'll do that today.

Ad blockers & anti-spyware can effect the links, have you tried using the conventional hoplink?

Hi Gary, yes I tried both style of links. The "mess of characters" link does not resolve in Google, and the other style always results in "affiliate=none".
As for ad blockers and anti-spyware, I know that has nothing to do with it. I turned off all extensions in google to see if that changed anything - the result - no change. As for anti-spyware, why would my AS system work against Chrome and not against MS Explorer, where all links work?
I really think this is something that that should be of concern to everyone who relies on Clickbank income, and I am really hoping more people will test this themselves.
      Thanks for you feedback.

You have bigger problems If you're sending traffic to a CB vendor sales page instead of the checkout page.

Hi Yukon, yes, that's what I thought. I have sent a message to Clickbank and hopefully they can help. The feedback from Warriors is always very helpful, though, especially as they are in a unique position to test such things. (Of course!)
