    Hello,

Is there a chess meetup or local place where people gather to play chess in your area? You can network there and then promote your course for beginners. Also, school clubs or places where people are learning to play chess are good places to start; you'll have to network with the leader of the groups first and let them know how your course can help their students/members.

I'd promote heavily on Chess related Facebook groups and forums if I were you. Really a good niche to start off, OP. Also, once you get the initial sales coming through your own marketing efforts and the course does receive significant ratings and reviews, then Udemy's own organic ranking algorithms will feature and market your course to its whole user base.

    All the BEST!
