What about Frisbees? They force you to find others to play with you (thereby introducing them to the Frisbee too - and then they will want their own) and since you throw them away from yourself, sooner or later all Frisbees are lost, requiring further purchases...

  Double Bubble bubblegum. Kids would hand around the Bazooka Joe comic inside, so you were totally uncool if you weren't part of this group. To get more comics, you went and bought more bubble gum.
