What am i doing wrong?

Am I doing something Wrong?
I have a number of blogs which have a high number of views and comments every day, but recently I have set them up so visitors get sent straight to an affiliate link (Mostly ClickBank products which are relevant to the blogs content)
The problem is I have had zero conversions.
I have been using GSA SER to promote these.
What could the problems be? It seems like I have everything in place but no actual sales!
Is there some missing element somewhere?
I'm finding this frustrating. Your input is welcome.

    You're in the MMO Niche?

Your visitors know what clickbank products are and they also know they can buy them using their own affiliate links.

Imagine 3 antique dealers on a desert island and they have one antique table between them.

They 'aint going to be doing business with each other are they?

    Declan,

You are experiencing the major challenge of IM: figuring out what works and what doesn't in a given campaign in order to make a profit.

Often the solutions aren't easy because there are so many variables, any one of which can scuttle your plans. Some of those variables you control, others you have little control over.

What most successful marketers do is test their variables, keep track of the results, modify the things that aren't working, then test some more until they are able to generate more profit than their expense in the campaign.

No one in a forum like this is going to be able to pinpoint the problem for you with any certainty solely based on what you have said. Without digging into your campaign to see the details of what you are doing, we are only telling you what "could" be wrong and places where campaigns often have problems.

With that in mind, I would offer the following:
    • Check your audience first. Are you going after buyers? Is your traffic specifically looking for the Clickbank solution you're suggesting?
    • Have you researched the niche? Does money flow freely and are you catering to the expressed desires of your audience?
    • Does the product you're promoting solve a problem or fulfill a desire expressed by niche participants?
    • What is the reputation and experience of the seller? Can he be trusted? Does he offer obvious value in his product?
    • How compelling is the product sales letter? Does it fully explain the benefits (rather than the features) of the product to the buyer?
    • What is the selling history of the product? Is it proven in the marketplace or is it just one of many competing copycat products?
    • Does the sales letter have a strong call to action, strong social proof, and does it relieve the risk from the prospect's purchase?
    • What about the product price? Is it good value for the money? Is it competitive with other similar solutions?
These are just a few variables that can influence conversion, any one of which can break a deal if it is a sticking point with potential buyers.

Obviously there are other things than influence a sale . . . but my point is that you must be good at solving the mysteries of why something sells or doesn't sell if you want to be good at Internet marketing. No one else is going to solve these "mysteries" for you.

IM is challenging and it's all about constantly moving targets. Some things you can control - others you can't. The markets are constantly evolving and changing. Every campaign is unique. Every successful marketer has to learn to solve the profitability challenge.

    The very best to you,

Can you explain this bit for me. It sounds a bit strange but that could be your wording.

Are you saying people who think they are going to a blog post end up on a sales page?

No, they don't think they are going to a blog page.
They know they are going to a sales page.
There is a description of the page they are going to on the Meta Desc.

For the person that asked, GSA SER (Search Engine Ranker) is one of those automated backlink builders - my guess (not interested enough to dig it up) is that it builds links by finding and spamming blog comments among other things.

I have a hunch that your visits and comments may be the result of other people using the GSA SER software. When you told it the target site for the backlinks, it probably went into a pool of other users, who are getting their own totally automated backlinks from your blogs.

In other words, it doesn't matter what's in the meta description. Bots don't read them when posting "automated backlinks"...

The truth about internet marketing is that, to be successful, you need to keep learning, adapting and successfully implementing new strategies for continued growth. This may discourage some, but inspire others. Loving what you do is a big help in a very competitive business.

You will never learn everything there is to know about internet marketing. It's an avocation or serious business that is constantly evolving, and keeping abreast of the challenges can be daunting.

But with a the right courses and the right teachers you can build a sturdy foundation that will hopefully help you avoid serious mistakes as well as make the best decisions to help your business take off and thrive. The Truth About Internet Marketing

Also, keep in mind that with all the strategies, techniques and constantly growing social media platforms, the truth about internet marketing is that you must be making available products that people are interested in, care about and are more than happy to share with others.

You can do this by providing content that will be useful to your visitors and potential customers. Blog posts, videos, podcasts, free bonuses, etc. can all contribute to developing a mix of engagement that can separate a so-so enterprise from a very successful one.

Hard work is great, but smart work is the preferred option. Choose a course and a mentor or coach with care. Learn and strive and don't be discouraged by some of the inevitable setbacks you are bound to encounter.

Join Facebook groups like Digital Business Entrepreneurs, visit the Warrior Forum on a regular basis and checkout Clickbank and JVZoo for the latest products you might be interested in promoting.

The truth about internet marketing is that while many fail, you can succeed over the long haul with patience and dedication to the task.

You'll need to share more info if you want us to help.
It's very hard to try to look at what the problem is without knowing details.
How many blogs are you talking about? What niches? How much traffic are they getting? How are you driving traffic? How many offers have you tried? etc? etc? The more info the better we can help.

I'm guessing you just aren't getting enough traffic yet, but it's hard to tell without the info.

You have to increase your targeted audience any way. To increase the targeted audience, you can do SEO, increase back link more & more. you can create do-follow link more & more than the No-follow link. The Do-follow link increase your site Page rank & traffic at the same time. thanks for your interest.

Who are these people? Are they targeted to the products?

I have been using GSA SER to promote these.
I assume this is some attempt at gaming search engines?

    Never a wise move.

The key figure that's missing is your click-through percentage. If nobody is clicking through to the offer, the problem is with your site content. If they're clicking through but not converting, the issue could be your initial targeting or your pre-selling.

Do you mean that you're automatically re-directing visitors to the sales page once they click on your site?
    {{ DiscussionBoard.errors[11068546].message }}

    So here's the deal...

The visitors that are coming to your website are more than likely looking for information and are not in the buying mood or perhaps they are not even interested in buying anything at all at this point.

Also, it sounds like you're redirecting them as soon as they hit your blog page, that's sort of like someone coming to read my blog post on "how to get a high click through rate from Facebook ads" and I instantly redirect them to a page that is trying to sell them a product on the exact same thing.

It's like you're forcing them to make a commitment when they were just curious, so they back out.

    I created something call V.A.P.P.

    Value, Authority, Position, Profit

First you give Value from the knowledge you have obtained and then they will see you as an expert or an Authority in this case and this puts you in the Position to Profit.

Blogs are content that should be used as a gateway to deliver more value..

    I hope this helps.

    Warm Regards,
    -Daniel

    Hi Declan,

Food for thought - and I experienced this personally: you have a money block, not an IM problem. You can do everything right, but if you are being someone who fears losing money or who gives much of your attention to the sales you have not generated, your fear follows you around and every day feels like Groundhog Day, the movie.

Feel these fears, release them and fall in love with blogging in those niches, and you will raise your energy from fear, to love/fun. Then you can keep writing content, build your email list and....hang where the money is.

For me, the money is where my buyers are, and that means (again, for me) places where folks want blogging tips to address their blogging pain points.

Consider adding a few more income streams too. Put your eggs in a few baskets. Write eBooks and publish a few on Amazon through KDP Select, and 1-2 on Selz to earn more cash per sale. Offer services. Consider creating an online course. Sure, it'll take a while to add 1-2 income streams but this detaches you from your CB products some, which clears your mind a bit and helps you follow successful IM advice over the long haul.

    All the best.
