Do I really need to set up a site to promote niches?

Don't blast me yet, to be fair I already kind of know which category of products I'm going to promote (eg. self help, health etc.), but I'm just not sure if we really need our own website to promote the niches we choose. Is there any other way we can promote them?

Edit: Not be replying to any new replies, tried out methods given by people that replied, working really great. Thanks for all the help people!

Would building your own Website help/inspire/motivate more People?

Yeah building a site is the most effective way for all those. But I just want to know if there are any other ways beside making a site to promote. Thank you for replying tho.

Of course it depends on what your specific niche is within those categories, but the health and fitness realm is pretty big on Instagram and YouTube. Plenty of people in those niches promote and sell products directly through those two platforms. They are obviously some of the more crowded niches and personas tend to win big within them.

    self help, health etc
Don't know what "etc" is in this case - but self help and health are two separate and huge categories. Not really niches - you have to drill down more for that.

They are both highly competitive areas and both categories are known for the experts who sell products and have authority sites in those areas.

If you are selling affiliate products you will need to direct link through your videos or ads - some platforms allow that and some don't.

Go to google search and enter "how to promote products without website" (no quotes). You will find very specific information - about clickbank and other affiliate programs and how to proceed without a website. For example:

    https://www.affilorama.com/introduct...hout-a-website

(not an affiliate link of course)

I wouldn't advise trying to start a business without having a site or blog, - but to each his own.

You have my thanks for helping out. And on the niche stuff, I didn't want to give away what I researched so I used the whole category

    It depends.

How comfortable are you with having your whole business depend on the sometimes capricious Terms of Service of the alternatives?

If you're okay with digital sharecropping, aka "promoting products without having your own site", there are ways. Just realize that you're one decision, often by an automated zero-tolerance algorithm, from losing all your work.

I do give you credit for not using that four letter "F" word - FREE.

If it were ten or fifteen years ago, you could just direct link your affiliate offers from paid ads and do reasonably well. Now, thanks to the inevitable abuse by marketers, direct linking is forbidden on the best ad sources.

If you think I'm overstating things, do a search on this forum for "[xxxxx] shut down my account - now what". If you Google it, try this:

    shut down my account site:www.warriorforum.com

Setting up a simple website to use as a home base can be done for under $100 a year for a domain name and hosting.

In this world, everything that is free method works super slow. I rather something that I would pay for that provides extreme value like PPC.

But unlike free forums, this has to be the best forum I have ever used for free advice that actually have a lot of substance and helpfulness!

      Much appreciated man! Thank you!

    Aaron,

Yes, there are many, many ways to promote products without having a web site. In fact, many of the most profitable IMers that I know make the majority of their income by promoting off - site.

But there is a problem if you don't have a place to call home (your own website) - a very big problem. You will be greatly limiting yourself to dealing with one-time only customers. You won't have the benefit of selling to happy customers over and over again.

Most every successful online business person will tell you that making repeat sales to loyal customers is by far a better and more lucrative approach than always having to prospect for new customers.

Of course, your approach is up to you. But with web sites so easy to set up and maintain these days, it makes one wonder why you wouldn't want to have your own site. Even if you know nothing about web sites, you can pay a very small fee to freelancers to set one up for you. And there is free content all over the Internet that is available to anyone to post on your site if you don't like to write.

In summary, no, you don't absolutely have to have a web site. But given the ease and almost no expense it takes to own one, you would be foolish not to have your own site (home base) and begin to develop a subscriber and customer base.

How serious are you about owning a long term business?

I'm very serious about it at the moment and this really is a very interesting business practice I have passion about for few years. Until recently, I decided to act. So yeah after tons of reading material I have purchased using my savings, I finally moved my butt haha.
