Sudden Drop in sales from website

No idea why, but in the last week sales have dropped from healthy to virtually nothing and I'm flummoxed. Most of the site's visitors come from YouTube and hits are just a bit below normal, but nothing that would explain the fall in sales. I have not changed anything on the site either. Very confusing (and alarming!).

Anyone ever had a similar experience?

Thanks

Are you promoting clickbank product? What niche?

Are you using SEO to rank your Youtube video and do you rank with multiple keywords? Maybe one of your buyer keywords dropped in rank. Check your keyword ranking.

Have you checked your links? Do they still work?

    Might be a technical issue?

What sales period are you using as a reference? Months? Years? At this stage, the most likely scenario is that it's a blip. Wait for more time/data before panicking.

The OP should head over the Wikipedia and spend an hour or so reading up on Statistical Process Control.

While most of the material will refer to manufacturing, where the idea was pioneered, it also applies to marketing systems. Even a process in statistical control will sometimes have outliers, often with no logical explanation.

      Now if the trend continues...

Thanks guys. It's just selling my own language course on my site. All the links are fine as the traffic is still coming although about 15 percent less, but the drop in sales has been around 90 percent. This is over a 3 week period. It's never happened before in over 3 years of business. I wonder if it was the 15 percent that have dropped in traffic that were doing all the buying before. However much I look at Analytics, I can't find a reason. I always knew that relying on youtube for visitors could go wrong, but I've never been able to find an alternative source for free - google ads has always lost me money.
    Thanks again

Same here, could not figure out the reason why. The economy seems okay, right? I figured it's just time to grow more, bringing this dip back to the previous highs thanks to more content and more effort!

I am experiencing same with my Amazon websites(broad niches), traffic is ok but the sales went down about %70 in the past two weeks. I don't know what is the problem. Anyone else sees such drop with Amazon?
