Hey All,

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

I am just starting out in Internet Marketing. I have a pretty mad goal, but I want to attempt to make $1,000,000 USD by 31st December, 2017. Sounds crazy, but I have achieved highly in Sports and Other Areas before by placing obscene goals, and usually exceeding them.

Anyway..... Because Warrior Forum appears to be the best place to learn from, my question is:

Where would you get started if you were me. I have little money to invest, because I figured the best way was to learn the hard way and master all of the basics? Anyone care to throw some nuggets of knowledge my way?

Much Appreciated, Hope you are all doing awesome!

  • First get a reality check.

There will be many on this thread that will encourage you and say it can be done, but most likely it will not. From reading your post you probably have a good month of reading and learning before you start implementing.

Do you have a business model in mind? Have you started your niche research? and if you have, have you researched products to promote? Can you write, or will you have to outsource?

I think your first step would be to set a realistic goal and the go from there

    • Thanks for Your Reply Al. I don't take it personally. many people said the same thing to me about playing football for New Zealand and playing poker online

Anyhow, that is besides the point.

This is what I am trying to figure out. I have made a list of all the methods of making revenue online, with the base premise of understanding that it is about solving problems, and fulfilling needs that customers/prospects have.

Just say you were me. You wanted to do $1,000,000 in sales by the end of the year. What model would you use?

      Appreciate your time and reply.

    • Hey Martin, I really appreciate your reply.
I've been reading for about a month, day and night about the whole internet marketing thing.

Have run businesses in the past before, but am new to generating leads online. I don't think $1MM is un-achievable. It will come if I am able to solve problems for people, on a large scale.

I have a couple of ideas for a niche. I have a bunch of products I want to put together for curing depression (Intangible products), and I have a logo and designs for a Clothing Line, which I have been told by a few Top Designers in New Zealand, that would be massive. These are just ideas at this point.

I get that the money is in the list, but like life, I have read and understood that the "quality" of the list is just as important as it's size.

What would you recommend as ways to quickly grow the list, say to 10,000 subs, so that i can then duplicate those methods, to get a list of say 100,000 within a short period.

I understand you probably get alot of posts like this of people wanting to make obscene amounts. I suppose what sets me apart, is that I have succeeded in a variety of areas other than business before, and find that applying a strategy of:

      1.) Insane Hard Work
2.) Focused Work on Area of Expertise
3.) Modelling Successful Players in that Area
      4.) Never Giving Up

Has worked for me in 95% of areas I have attempted to achieve in.

Any further things you could help me with re: list building from scratch, would be awesome
      • [ 3 ] Thanks
  • I'd suggest you go elsewhere to ask this question. I'm not trying to get rid of you but trying to help.

99.9% of everyone that answers your post has not made this kind of money and/or has no real idea how to do something massive like a million in 6 months from scratch.

So, it's a case of the blind leading the blind.

Now, if you were to ask about $100-$1000 (or something reasonable) per month in 6 months, there are a lot of people that may can help you with that.

    Good luck.

    • Hey Mark Thanks for your reply, and I am dead serious

I appreciate your advice. As I am new to the forums, can you point me in the right direction for a better thread to ask this question in?

Do you have any advice yourself, as the quality of your response gives me the innate impression you have done quite well in internet marketing, Am I correct?

Can you answer me this....even as a newbie, am I correct that there is more money in product creation, than in product selling?

      Cheers again for your time

    • Hey Mark, try 99.99999999999999993145 %
Seriously, all of us have had these kind of fleeting preposterous dreams at one time or another in our lives ( I did when I was 25 )

Now if you would have said by the time I'm 55 years old I would like to have accumalated in excess of $1mil. in Assets/Cash then people would take you more seriously

My advice is to start out slow with your expectations and try to hit $1,000 a month consistently and then continue to build on that confidence

    • This is the realist answer he will get. I'm glad someone is being reasonable. I can see someone who is starting out making 100-1000 a month, but always stay motivated. Its okay to have a goal that huge, but also set realistic goals that wont cause you to give up.

I used to try to do internet marketing, but it seems that I just didn't have the passion for the whole niche marketing and selling stuff online. Now I just blog about my passion, which is ranting and raving online as a sort of blog therapy. Blogging has become my outlet and so not making any money is just fine.
  • Those just starting out in internet marketing often have expectations that far exceed their knowledge, experience, and bankroll. You would probably be better off to create goals that are realistic and you could potentially obtain and build on.

With my pessimism out of the way. I can tell you what I've been doing for the last 16 years that works and why I do it.

It is a bit of grind when you first start out, but it becomes easier and it's highly scalable.

I've been monetizing 3rd party data (email) using PPL (pay per lead...lead generation) offers.

If you're not familiar with 3rd party data, it's email data that the users have given permission to receive messages from third parties. You get the opt-in record for all users and it's 100% can-spam compliant.

I either purchase the data or I get it through rev-share deals. Rev-share (revenue sharing) is data that you get for $0 upfront cost and you split the revenue generated from sending it, with the data provider.

The data is targeted based on specific vertical (niche) that the users have shown an interest in or requested more information about. So everything starts with the data, in that, based on the vertical that you are getting data for, you then send a relevant offer.

I mainly get data that is targeted to verticals for PPL offers. This is because lead generation offers do not require a credit card or for the user to purchase anything to complete an offer. All a user has to do is fill out a form, so conversion rates are typically much higher than offers that require a sale to be made.

I favor offers that have a make, get or save money benefit to them. This is what has overall worked best for me and tends to have the greatest amount of mass appeal (will be of interest to a very large general audience). So the potential to generate high volume exists and they are fairly easy to cross promote on the back-end.

The bulk of the offers that I promote pay $20-$40 per lead. I also promote offers that pay more and less, but the amount of the payout is not the key deciding factor. How well an offer converts can be just as important, if not more important. For example, you could have an offer that only pays $9. However, if it converts at 2X or better compared to a $20 offer, then it will perform about the same or possibly even better. You could also have an offer that pays $90, but if it converts poorly, it may not even be worth promoting it.

Bottom line, it is far easier to get someone to fill out a short form than it is to get them to take out their credit card and make a purchase. So why struggle trying to make sales, when you can just provide free info that users want / need and get paid well doing it.

Some of the verticals that I have done extremely well with are: insurance, education, debt, credit, mortgage, loans, assistance, discount offers, homeowner offers, etc...

So for example, if I'm getting auto insurance data, I then send an auto insurance offer. If I'm getting education data, then I send an education offer, etc, etc... Then after a certain amount of time, I then cross promote the offers to fully monetize the data.

Important note: 3rd party data will rarely be as responsive as a highly targeted opt-in list you build yourself. But it really doesn't matter. This is because you are getting the data much much cheaper and it is highly scalable compared to building your own list. The way that you make it work is to always be segmenting your opens / clickers - removing the unresponsive user. That way over time you are building smaller, but much more responsive lists. Essentially you are converting the data from quantity to quality.

Basically, I monetize the data using PPL offers because they offer the path of least resistance to generating conversion and converting the data to cash producing assets.

Obviously, there is far more to it, but done right it can be extremely profitable. Everyone that I know that is in the business and knows what they are doing, for the most part, does 6-7 figures. While that may sound like a huge range, much comes down to one's abilities to scale and to cost effectively build/manage the infrastructure needed to scale.

However, it is no get-rich-scheme, as with any business it takes time and effort to build.

    Anyway, something to think about.

    • Hey Brother Thanks for your detailed message So blessed to have you drop knowledge on me like that.

This is not about get rich quick for me. I understand that monetary results come when significant value is created.

Had to create a goal to challenge myself. I want to be one of the best in the world at this within 5 years. Ive sold in multiple industries offline, so I figure those skills will transfer well online.

I know there is much to be learned, and again, I appreciate your insight.

Out of the responses I have received so far, yours is the one I have gained the most from. Would you be okay with me asking you further questions, once I have looked a bit more into the methods that you have described?

      You are awesome. Cheers

  • You don't have a 'goal' - you have a 'dream'.

    $1,000,000 in 8 months is $125k/month or $4049 per day....STARTING TODAY.

Nothing wrong with aiming high - but if 'money for me fast' is the goal, it won't work.

Now put the dreams away and decide (through research/learning/reading) - what IM method suits you, your talents/skills/interests/experience....and make yourself into an expert in THAT field. Of course you earn more selling your own products - but that's only after you know enough to create good products in your target market - and that's only after you identify your target market...and that....it's a process.

Set high but realistic goals for online presence, sales, etc - buy ONLY what you need NOW to move forward - and don't get caught in the parade of shiny objects.

    • it's possible (but everyone isn't cut out for that given the time frame) if you have prior industry knowledge and immense (yes, immense if you got to be a millionaire) technical knowledge, coding skills and management expertise; above all most folks who hang around here don't make that amount of money, so in the first place, WF isn't the best place to ask such a question.

    • Plus that number is going to continue to compound as each day, week, month passes and you fail to generate the required income.

It is more realistic to want to get to the point that you can make $1mm per year.

Then figure out how to make like $100 per day and once achieved. Then figure out how to scale it and keep moving the goal post. $250, $500, $750, $1000, etc...

Obviously, it's easier said than done.

Also, once you get to like $1000 per day. It is really easy to become complacent because for almost anyone that is a very comfortable living. So it is a very common stall point.

    • Kay, I also said the same thing. Most people here really have no clue and haven't done a million in 6 months from nothing with limited funds - including me. I don't think the OP needs to go anywhere else, actually. I think they need to have realistic goals. The million isn't the problem. It's a million from scratch with no experience, no plan, no website, limited money and 6 months that is the problem.

OP, one simple way is to just sell 1000 people a product/service for $1000 or 2000 people a $500 product/service. You haven't defined "make" so if you want that to be profit you'll have to sell more. What have you got to sell for $500 or $1000?

Another question is what do you want to do? People don't come up with goals/dreams like this without knowing a little bit of how they want to accomplish it.

      Mark
      • [ 2 ] Thanks

  • Let me be totally honest with you right now this goal is not realistic and you are more likely not to hit this goal. You may not even hit it in 5 years the first reason is it's not realistic especially when you're just getting started.

Start small and find a skill you can offer as a service just to get a feel for how to communicate and run a business. Once you learn the ropes you can begin building from there. Trust me I've seen many people who come into internet marketing thinking they are going to make a million dollars overnight. It just doesn't work that way.
    • [ 4 ] Thanks

    • Starting small and scaling up is the easiest way to see near and long term success. No millionaire I know of - personally or otherwise - entered the game with the sole goal of making millions fast. Don't happen that way The true millionaire mindset is to do it slowly, patiently and abundantly, focusing on following your passion and serving people, not trying to manipulate numbers to reach some money goal.

Serve. Help. Have fun. Dive into your fears. Think short and long term. Make friends. All will unfold as it should. And you will see greater and greater success.

  • It is possible. There are many methods of earning revenue online like dropshipping, affiliate marketing etc... Learn them then find out which one will suit you best and then stick to it working hard every day at least 80 hours a week and you will be on your way to a million dollars.

  • How much is "little money", it's always difficult giving advice without knowing what we have to work with.

Also, what skills do you have?

  • Sickonz, I have two immediate reservations with your declared intention. The first concerns the one Ryan expanded on in his post upthread. A monetary goal is one of the least effective motivators. On its own it means nothing other that some vague hope. A million dollar business begins with an idea - a clear idea about how you can provide enough value to enough people. You need to get engrossed in the process, not on the financial returns. That may sound counter intuitive, but ask most self-made millionaires and they'll tell you that the money was a by-product of an all-consuming desire to create something worthwhile. At best, all it does is provide a useful measurement of your progress.

This leads me to the second reservation, which is your statement in the thread title. You'll never reach your goal by hoping to trade time for money. Saying you have 10+ hours a day available as if that was somehow an advantage suggests you don't get this point. Any unemployed person will also have time to spare. If you're going to build a million dollar business, forget about allocating your time - you'll need to dedicate as much time as the business requires, as well as leveraging the time and the expertise of others. There'll be days when you won't get any sleep. And those will be the best days because you'll be doing what excites and absorbs you. You'll know you've got it right when you realize that any financial target you set yourself when you started out is now unimportant. Maybe you've surpassed it, maybe you haven't - you don't care, your business is now your main focus and you won't want to stop.

If any of the above resonates with you, you should start to understand that a goal of making x amount of money in y amount of time is a completely self-fabricated one. Unless you've got to fulfil a ransom demand, it's just an arbitrary, nebulous target which by itself carries no meaning or significance. You might as well draw numbers from a hat.

Change your target. Find something other than the money to get excited about.
    • [ 4 ] Thanks

    • The time for money point is keen. It is about leveraging, to both make more money and to make a bigger difference. And to design a freeing, fun life, which we are all after, ultimately.

For starters took me just on 2yrs to reach that amount and about on average 45 hrs a week for 3 weeks of the month

So to think you are going to hit the Mil is like the Castle " you're dreamin mate"

If you have 2-3 EXP yep could be done just maybe , and your mates telling you how cool the clothing line will be how much money do they have ?? what can you learn from them! or are they FOS

So the reality check is that after some time learning what goes where and how then revisit the goal again and Xmas 18 you maybe half way there!

Also can you please hit the quote tab when replying to an answer or question so we all know whom you are answering

  • Very interesting thread and goal. I have similar aspirations but I do not have a set goal in mind in terms of how much I would like to make. (maybe that is a mistake and I should have a number in mind).

My initial goal is absorb as much information as i can and choice what path to take to begin earning $ via Internet marketing.

For the next couple month I also have a lot of free time (before the fall semester) and I would like to set up some sort of monthly income that would not require too much time monitoring once the fall semester starts. Doesn't need to be anything ludicrous even an extra $500-1000 a month would be nice.
  • This goal is unrealistic. Not necessarily because of the amount or the time frame, but in the way it is framed.

Making $1 million USD by the end of the year depends on a lot of other people doing something - buying a product, buying a service, making an outright gift, etc. You have no control over what these other people do.

Ryan was on the right track when he suggested shifting your goal from making money to helping people, and it sounds like you agree with him about providing value.

Now you just have to frame your goal in a way that you have control over the actions required to meet that goal.

You mentioned sports achievements. Let's say that your goal is to be the world's fastest human. That isn't a goal, it's an ambition.

Usain Bolt is widely considered the world's fastest man. In 2016, he ran the 100 meters in 9.80 seconds. To claim the title of world's fastest, you have to run the 100m in under 9.8 seconds.

Now you have something to work with. You can set up an action plan for improving your personal best time. You can plan and execute concrete actions for doing so.

That's how Olympic athletes win gold medals. They keep competing against their own personal best until that performance is better than the personal best of those they compete against.
    • [1] reply
    • Hello John, your explanation is just perfect; you're referring to self-improvement here, right?

my best is 10 reps in push-ups in ten minutes its my 100 percent but I can't compete with a pro athlete with my 100% I have to improve my 100% its like competing against myself, pushing me to the limit.

The OP is in the same boat I think. The goal has some chances to reaching fruition for sure but in order to prepare himself he might need some time, may be a year or two before his goal actually becomes realistic, not now. No way to becoming rich with swallow education and experience.

Another thing, making a million bucks is like serving a million people. Ryan is completely right here.

  • This declaration of 10+ hours a day available to do IM leads me to believe that your thinking is in terms of trading work for money and that mindset will never get you to your $1M destination.

Super entrepreneurs don't think like that.

They lay out a plan that leverages their time and assets and then they do whatever it takes, regardless of how many hours in the day they work.

Super entrepreneurs never purposefully seek "the hard way" in anything. They do not start businesses to learn basics or learn from their mistakes. They execute what they already know or they hire talent around them to take care of the details of those areas where their expertise is lacking.

Often, the people that get all frothed up and lathered over positive thinking, mind set mastery, "conceive it and believe it," the law of attraction, and other focuses on the mind downplay or ignore the principle of actually doing the work!

Since the clock is ticking . . . I think we'd all be interested . . . how much money did you make toward your goal yesterday?

    Good luck,

I'm not a Millionaire however I am in the process
      (approximately 30% - 50% complete) of building a
$20,000/week Website. And I found that little
quote from Steve to be really helpful ...

Why? The Whatever It Takes Attitude can be very
empowering. And -- providing that you do keep
taking action not matter what (including
"failure") ― it almost guarantees that you will
reach your goal(s). (And will place you above the
vast majority of people online that are not truly
      committed.)

There was also (as usual) some great advice from
Ryan Biddulph. Becoming wealthy is all about
helping/serving People. The more People you help
(etc.) the more money you will make.

In today's World being a Millionaire is definitely
achievable considering that many People are
well into the Billions. (Mark Zuckerberg's net worth
      for instance is $62 Billion.)
  • Yet...

    And there's more...

    Final answer?

    My opinion?

    Total BS!

  • This

    and

    this

    don't jive.

Making a million dollars in 8 months sounds an awful lot like "get rich quick" to me.

Fool yourself however you want . . . but if you've got nothing today and millionaire dreams for later this year . . . that's "get rich quick" for any sane person.

  • Run traffic, ecomm, ... what exactly are you trying to push for? I get calls like this all the time from newbie pubs who dip out after getting accepted onto our network.

If you're going into affiliate marketing you'll probably lose all your money since. Assuming you don't have experience running traffic.
  • Don't try and do everything yourself all at once. Most people try and set up everything themselves right off the bat, get overwhelmed and quit. You'll want to tap into a system that you know it working. It requires a little more of upfront investment, but you can get resourceful in times of limited resources.

Then once you're in the system, you want to start slowly taking over more and more components of the sales funnel. So, creating your own capture pages, bridge pages, taking over the email followup and building out your own authority site, and eventually creating your own products.

Once you take over everything (except product creation), you can finally say you have your own business, rather than making money from someone else's business.

  • hi there...it is very hard to achieve the goal that you have in mind...but what i find the best way to go about is start your own blog by getting a domain name and hosting in place...write all you can regarding your favorite subject say "Sports", place it on your blog, and then promote the blog posts all over social media...once you have good enough audience in place go for affiliate programs from Amazon, Google Adsense, ClickBank, or more...you will surely earn good enough after executing all these steps and probably might reach your goal as well
  • YO! I didn't read all the other comments but here is my 2 cent in case the OP is still reading this thread.

  • I know that it is important to have goals. and your goals is to earn 1M dollar before this year ends.
i suggest make your goal very possible first.
like earning your very first commission. i guess that would be the very best goal for now.
then after you earn your first commission set another goals like earning $1,000 a week
    then set another higher goals.

  • Not only am I new to the whole making money online, I've missed this conversation by a week. I still wanted to add in my two cents because I am a big dreamer as well.

However, while it is nice to set unobtainable goals for the drive, even in those you want them to be obtainable. If we broke this down into actual numbers you would have to be making over $160,000 a month.

But that is only if you rank in Google on the first page for a profitable and highly searched keyword on the day you launch your site, tomorrow. In reality, it takes close to 8 weeks to rank for a long tailed keyword that only gets searched about 100x a month. Which means you are now looking at needing $170,000 a month or more.

You would definitely have to learn how to rank in Google dumb fast and you'd have to be polished enough to sell big ticket items and the most challenging of all - drive traffic. I mean, you might have to become an affiliate of a company that sells private jets or land in Dubai.

One of the warriors here said aim for $1000 a month. You have 10 hours a day to spare? I am going to argue that you can do better. I think with 10hrs a day, if you give yourself 6 months - have 10 websites built that each make $25 a day. So starting in January you'll be making $7500 a month.

After that your million is right around the corner. I do hope you reconsider adjusting your goals. I am new and transitioning seamlessly into intermediate and not only do I have respect for the process, I have respect for everyone who has been through it.

So far, especially after the responses, the key to internet marketing is slow and steady wins the race. Unless you have a massive PPC budget. Thank you fro reading and I hope you reconsider adjusting your goals to keep discouragement at bay when you see it isn't going to happen.

You aren't that far off and you'd have to work the mess out of those 10 hours to even make a mil in 18 months, but if you have the drive, start by getting that $7500 a month, starting in January and from there on out.

    • Not to condem your post but since you are new here. I want to give you something to think about. Most people can not manage more then 2 or 3 sites here and maintain them. You will find people here that either have 1 major site (authority site) making money or maybe a few more. The one's that have more then a few have been at this business a long time.

Second most people on this forum will never be able to get $25.00 a day in a month. Since you are new good luck in your future.

Here is some free advice to you, just try 1 site and make $10.00 a day. It may take you longer then you think.

  • Dropship,

regardless what people say about it we cant deny theres an audience. We all hate the Kardashians or Justin Beiber but when your in business its not about what you like, its about the size of the share market. The money is in seasonal trends, Olympics, Soccer events etc, #gymlife #betteryou, find whats trending and feed the frenzy.
  • " I want to attempt to make $1,000,000 USD by 31st December, 2017"

he said he wants to "attempt"

It can be done if you get the Right combination
There are lots of ways to make money and people are doing it, But some are doing it Better and making more money

so , I think , it can be done , especially by someone as focused and strong willed as you.

The first task is to find the best way to make big money

Selling high ticket offers is a good idea

But those Require either Investment for advertising or access to Information or data which can help you reach you desired customers

    but

anyway he hasnt replied for long time
  • Hi, sickonz. I understand your dream of earning $1,000,000 USD in the next 7 months but with 10+ hours per day and a very short time frame, I'm not entirely sure this is going to be doable. This will take you a lot and by a lot, I mean it on a colossal level.

Basing from the comments you got from the rest of the members here, you're planning to build a business that focuses on providing service(s) and when you go that route, you will need lead generation, qualifying leads into prospects, acquisition, maintenance, and retention. As time passes, it doesn't get easier for you. I'm not trying to kill your dream, I'm trying to be rational.
  • Hmm ...

I like BHAGs but I'll tell you something.

After a point, IM becomes a game of scale. It is about how much you invest into traffic and how much you get back. It is about ROI. So you need as much money as possible to scale and for $1.000.000, you'd better have a Black AMEX that you can use for PPC.

If you find a way that generates you $1000, you can use it to earn 100 times more (theoretically at least). However, the problem is of time. If you have a model that generates a 30% ROI on PPC traffic, then with $50.000 - $100.000 for PPC, you may reach your goal. However, if you simply start with $1000, then you wouldn't have enough time.

Good luck though. I like the attitude. I've proved myself the impossible many times so there may be other ways to scale apart from money. The only other viable one I can think about is networking and using other people's lists.
  • Absolutely Possible....Anything is.

1: Make $10,000 (More Do-Able then your proposed goal of 1MIL)
2: Invest them into (Silver maybe?) at 100x leverage....
    3: Start Praying.
4: Have 1Mil on december or earlier cause silver doubled, or have nothing cause it fell 1% before it went up.
Good luck, youll need it either way .
  • Am a newby here how do I set up this to work
  • I'm surprised how many people say sounds like a "dream" and unrealistic. Don't let that ruin your motivation, your goal, your drive, aiming high is a good thing. I have the same goal this year, to make a million. What's the worst that can happen? You don't hit your goal? You're not losing anything...you just take what you learn and start over! I guess I just have a different attitude, I'd never put someone down for dreaming big, but anyways I think the best thing you can do is find a mentor, find someone who has been successful, work under them, learn from them, get advice...easier said than done, but that will be the best/fastest way. Seek out the best people in your city who have been successful at this, if you have to start at the bottom, so be it.

Unfortunately many People that don't believe
in themselves and/or aren't at that kind of
income like saying it's "Dream" (etc.) (That doesn't
      apply to everyone, however.)

Well said. : ) A Person should never listen
to the "Dream Stealers" or "Naysayers." If
anything take it as a sign that you're doing
something worthwhile in Life. In fact the more
"Successful" you become, the more "Haters"
you will attract. It's just part of the
      process.

Cool. : ) Good luck with it.

Exactly. That has to be one of the most
important lessons. "Failure = Success" ...
(When you learn something from it).
  • Learn Affiliate Marketing,
    WHY??
Affiliate marketing can be simply understood as earning a commission from promoting other people's (company) products.

This means that as a marketer, you find what you like and wish to promote it to other people who may find it useful in solving their problems.

You are entitled to earn a commission from the profit you make per every sale. In this way, every party involved is happy and satisfied.

For instance the marketer earns a commission from the sales made, the company gets happy with the new sale from a new customer whom they could not have achieved minus your effort and the new customer rejoices when his/her desires are met.

You become a go-between the company and the new customers and they are both happy and satisfied.

The most beautiful thing about affiliate marketing is that you only require a platform to start selling products. This means that you do not need to invest your time and creativity in creating the product to be sold.

Another benefit is that, besides promoting products from third party companies or people, you may as well venture into providing complementary products and services that will go hand in hand with products from those companies.

Affiliate Marketing Rules that you find worthy keeping
In order to increase you affiliate income, here are 2 rules that you may consider putting into use while promoting products from third party people and companies.

    i. Only recommend products that you are extremely familiar with:
It is important promoting products that you have used yourself and benefited from in solving some problems.

This means that you should only promote products that will be relevant and effective in helping people. You should be confident of the products' ability to satisfy people's desires.

ii. Avoid imposing products on people:
Do not directly tell people to buy products but rather recommend products to them depending on your knowledge and experience with the recommended products. You need to be an honest affiliate marketer if you desire to succeed.

  • My two cents is take a course on getting started online. Not those spamming get rich quick courses but an honest from zero to hero course. You seem to know what you want to market, now you just need to get started. If you know nothing about setting up a website and doing keyword research or finding domain names I have a course that is affordable. once you have the basics in place then you need to learn how to reach your target audience. If your message is compelling enough you could realistically reach your goals by scaling your successes. But you need to get started A.S.A.P. because the year is almost half over.
  • Use 1 to 2 month find a good high ticket affiliate sales offer, which give you let's say $500/sales, go and plan how you going to sell 2000 to hit your 1 million.
  • I started with a free Wordpress blog and and Amazon Associates account. Everything i did was manually done and very time consuming. Id say start with Amazon Associates and build from there to other networks in your niche.

All the best with your IM journey.

  • If I had 10+ hours per day and just starting out, I would spend 8 hours a day at a full time job and then spend another 2 hours or so working my online business.

    • Gary Vee recommended that too good tip.

      Spend all your time getting

      FREE PRESS
      GET ON FORUMS
      BLOGS
      DIRECTORIES
      SYNDICATE ARTICLES on newsletters.

Do all you can to get exposure.
  • That's an unrealistic goal, especially if you have no experience and little money to invest. A lot of people are willing to put a lot of time and work on a new venture but that doesn't necessarily means it will be a profitable business. I would set a more realistic goal if i were you.
  • 1 million $ by December is an unrealistic goal. You should focus on a more realistic goal.

It's an ambitious goal to be sure. And maybe
a little bit "unrealistic." However that's not
necessarily a bad thing. As Will Smith said:

"Being realistic is the most commonly
      travelled road to mediocrity."

Many times it's actually better to aim high and
fall short of your goal, than it is to aim low and
      achieve it.

(IMO) there's nothing wrong with aiming high in
Life in fact I applaud it. 10 hours/day (for 7
months) is a lot of time invested.
  • Hey Sickonz. While I applaud your zeal, and would never say "it's impossible", however, this is a road that is more than just bumpy you got on. It's got craters, even chasms. In order to get there you would need a massive budget, a massively high converting offer, and not to mention a high ticket product. Again, I will never say never, however the best of digital marketers don't make this. Some do, most don't.

Anyway I wish the best of luck to you and hoping you do it!

  • If you manage to do this you are the best internet marketer ever. How likely is that? It's likely, just not very likely.

First of all, asking people who most don't even make 1M in a year, after years of being in business, how to make 1M in a couple of months is the first wrong move that won't bring you any results.
If you think you can realistically make that money in given time, you should already have an idea of what you want to do.
And please share your progress here.

Well not exactly. There are (almost) countless "Internet Marketers" that have made that (and actually more than that) in a single day. One of the great things about "IM" is that the steps it takes to earning a Million Dollar/Year Website are the same whether they spend 2 years completing them or 7 months.
  • I would highly recommend joining the 4% group. Because it will teach you everything you need to learn as a beginner in one place.
  • Excellent enthusiasm! We don't often hear newbies with a solid goal like yours, so you are already ahead of the game with your winning attitude!
My advice is to focus on setting up your funnel or a done for you funnel, then all you have to do is focus on sending traffic to one link....sounds easier than it actually is. Do I believe you can earn $1M by year's end??? It seems lofty, but prove me wrong!

    • wow, great info.

Mentality first, if you can get your mind right in teh beginning, you can create $1, and if you can make $1 online you can make $100, and if you can make $100 online you can go and do $100,000 each month online.

it all starts with your mentality not the amount of money sitting in your bank account, you are right.
  • I commend the people that tried to offer some sensible guidance...

    However,....

OP made a couple of replies in the first few hours after starting the thread on May 1 and has not replied since.

OP never hit the "Thanks" button one time.

Time might be better spent helping someone else that stays a little more engaged after asking for help.
The thread starter must have all the answers now and is off making their million dollars.

  • Sound like you have a lot of motivation But I have some advices for you:

    - Do not focus on money ==> focus on value!
    - Do not "learn" too much (I mean sometime you think you have learnt something but not really)
    - Taking action is the most important
    - Doing your business easily but regularly

    Enjoy your journey!

  • The very very very first thing you must do is LEARN! Learn about building a list and what to do with that list once you have it.

Many people will try to give you advice etc and some will even poopoo you for having the goal you have but do not listen to them and concentrate on building that list because that is where the money is, Always has been and always will be.

  • My advise is DO IT!!! Do not let anyone bring you down or make you change your mind about your goal. I wasted so much money on so called SEO gurus, and they delivered one BIG 0. So i did what you are about to do. I started reading, watching videos, asking questions, testing, testing, and more testing. And then, i did more reading. And i ask questions. I learned about 10% of SEO so far, and i made first few $$$ on my own from it. The feeling was amazing. But i give you my word, i will learn SEO 100%, and i will give some time on here to teach new guys truing to learn, and that got burned so much. So DO IT!!!
  • its not what you do with your time, its what you do in that time.

Leverage is key too, always remember that.
  • Do you have any skills? Like coding? graphic designing? etc?

If not, I would suggest you to learn a field of expertise that's in high demand (like coding) along with internet marketing and combine those skills together and start your journey.

    OR

You mentioned that you did quite well in sports. If sports is a passion why not start a business around it? But of course that does not change the fact that you need to learn internet marketing.

Hit me up if you have further questions!
  • To make a million dollar you'll need to have a big list of subscribers interested in the niche you choose. First focus on getting that and then think about the million dollars. Being a little bit realistic will help you you as well
  • I've spent over 25k in info products and software. Most were shit but a good portion I was able to absorb as golden nuggets. I'm barely launching my first software so I'm sorta in the same situation as you, except I"ve spent a lot of money already on training.

It comes down to finding solutions like you said. You start small, you then scale using paid advertising. Don't let anyone else tell you other wise.(I recomend FB ads). Once you have a winning product that's converting well for you, you can play ball with the big boys. By that I mean that you now have a proven product that you can now use to reach out to affiliates and super affiliates in your niche to do joint ventures with, joint ventures(making friends) is a whole other art. Use Facebook and FB groups to network with them. Find the names of the big players in your niche, subscribe to their newslettter and reverse engineer their sales funnel and email swipe files.

You may speed up your efforts(after your product converts at minimum of 2%) with a JV Broker/Manager who will take a percentage from your sales, but would connect you with all the big players in your niche to promote your new product solution. If you go the route of JV manager, be very careful as you may end up like Dr.Ope who sold over 200k(record) on his first ever product launch on JVZoo, but ended up with nothing.(the story almost made me puke) He talks about his experience in his product "Launchify 360." I feel like he was taken advantage of, or Dr.Open was just too new to the scene that he didn't ask the right questions when he was suppose to.
