How many affiliate links in a post if linking to same site?

Hi,

I am writing my post to promote dresses form a site and listing 10- 15 dresses there in my post with pictures and some description like style and all.

Can i link back the product with its affiliate link? then there will be 10-15 affiliate links in the post to same site to different products.... or link only top few products and leave bottom one?

What is the right way? Please suggest.

Thanks

In my opinion, you need to have an affiliate link for each product. However if the website offers a good cookie policy then you can still link only the top products and leave others as they are. eg: even if you send someone to Amazon via your affiliate link, even if the user buys other products you make the affiliate commission.
But I think its better to have an affiliate link per product.

imo, the less the better. All the way around, for SEO purposes, for viewer experience, etc..etc..

Of course with each product if they are distinctly different it may behoove you to do it in that situation. So there are exceptions

Might be wise to write smaller posts and make one post for each dress.

Link each different product to its appropriate page, of course.

You might want to test an approach that Sports Illustrated uses in their annual swimsuit issue.

Each photo has a credit for the swimsuit/cover/jewelry, etc.

At the end of the magazine, there is a page titled something like "Where to Get It". It then lists the items by page number, along with vendor information.

Obviously, the only people that read this page are those who are interested in buying rather than just looking.

In a blog post, I'd try putting all of the affiliate links in a list at the bottom, along with an identifier (in html parlance, a 'numbered list' would work well). Link each item to the appropriate list number, and each list number to the appropriate item.

Another approach would be to end each description with a generic link like 'Where to Buy' or 'Learn More About This Item' and make that your affiliate link.

When it is bet to start adding links to products after affiliate website launch? e.g I have already 15 articles within 2 months but haven't added the links yet... Is it worth to wait more or start adding?

In the case of the example you provided, it might make sense to have a link for each dress, as long as you are careful and blend it in with your content

Put a small affiliate link (like 'Buy') below each picture of the dresses.

You may also consider adding nofollow tags to your affiliate links so search engines don't follow them.
