Hi Friend,

I hired a employee few days ago for my offline company and wanna to put her in marketing section, something like to get traffic for site. But the problem is she did not know anything about getting traffic thing.

Suggest me some good traffic method that i could teach her and they could do it by self. You can also suggest software course etc..She is very keen to learn and can follow passionately if i instruct...

  • I used to hire a VA who built backlinks in forums for me. I had two intentions:

    1) Monetize the direct traffic from these forum backlinks
    2) Show google that some (obviously low quality) backlinks are built to my site, so that the high quality links I paid for look more natural :-)

The result was interesting and totally unexpected:

    1) Only VERY few users who clicked through those links actually bought my products
    2) As I didn't find the time to buy the high quality backlinks, the only linkbuilding that was done was through her. And believe it or not: The low quality links made my site actually rank in google for a few keywords :-)

I spent around $100 per month for 50hours of link building and the rankings I got lead to around 15k visitors per month. The quality of the traffic was not that good so I "just" made around $250 per month leaving me with a net profit of around $150.

Considering that you can usually sell a webite for a x20 multiple of the monthly net profit, I could probably get around 3k for the page. I keep it though, as it still makes profit on auto pilot... and the my VA has a steady income of $100 a month :-)

Considering she told me that her husband makes only $450 for a full time job and he is a studied IT-developer, I guess thats fine :-)
  • Since your VA is not technical, I would focus on link building. There are various ways of doing link building and it's more of an administrative task than a technical one. I hope that helps!
  • Hi again, regarding your PM:

I did it the following way:

    1) I hired someone on UpWork to generate a list of around 100 topic related forums
    2) I hired a VA for link building and told her some rules (like that she should not spam forums, be helpful and not create more than 2-3 links per forum, etc.)
    3) I installed wplinkbuilder in my wordpress site (a plugin I wrote, that automatically checks backlinks and allows you to assign VAs with building links and monitor it => Check out the intro video on the homepage)
=> If you want I can give you a free test key.

    Cheers
    Michael
  • Usually, if I hire someone, I make sure they know basically what I will want them to do
