How would you solve this...

I'm trying to figure out a solution...

You're trying to provide a unique website address to an affiliate that would look like the affiliates own personal webpage.

ie: www.somewebsite.com/billybob

But you want that page to just basically display the contents of your sites "index page". So basically if someone clicked on the link it would just come up with the index page of your website but displayed as: www.somewebsite.com/billybob or some kind of a sub folder.

Is there a way to do this without having to copy your entire site into the folder?

I use to do this a very very long time ago.

It was real easy using just a couple php tag that created the page on the fly.

The first tag loaded the static html part of the page that never changed.

The second tag loaded custom html, so I could create a link that was unique for the affiliate

However, I don't remember anything other than that I use to do it.

I'm sure there are simpler ways that are more automated these day.

If no one provides an answer, you might want to try posting in the programming section. I'm sure someone that knows php well could help you.

If you are using Wordpress you could use pretty link or some other cloaking/tracking software.
