Get response vs Aweber

Hi guys,

I have a basic membership with both of them, but still struggling which one to choose for building a list.
I can see that getresponse has more landing pages templates, but no.1 is still Aweber right?
Or maybe keep both?
Any tips much appreciated.

Best regards
V.

both of them are very good
the only what i see that matters
is the size of the list when you
    avail the basic monthly plan.
in getresponse you will have up to
    1,000 leads for only $15
    while in the aweber
you only have up to 500 leads for $19

Just go with whichever one serves you best. If you can't decide, then you know that either alternative will be just fine. The important thing is that you make a decision and move on. Don't fret or think about it any longer as there are more important things to get to in your business.

I use aWeber because it works for me. I know they work hard to keep their blacklisting at a minimum so your open rates stay high. I have no experience with GetResponse but many marketers here use them as well.

If you struggle with indecision on such simple matters, that don't really matter at all as they are for all intents and purposes practically identical, you will not be making great strides in your online career.

Take action and move on. You are going to encounter much larger fish to fry as you move forward.

Even if at some point you feel that you made a mistake and want to switch, download your list as a .csv file and import it into the other. This is not rocket science.

    Thank you.

Aweber is amature hour, in comparison to what's out there right now.

And in my opinion if you're still using Aweber then you're losing sales.

But it's ok if you're promoting LOADS of affiliate offers, otherwise I'd avoid it.

I haven't used GetResponse, but I know it's more sophisticated than Aweber.

Here's my issue with Aweber.. it CAN'T do even basic things like this:

Let's pretend you send an email on Monday about.. Apples..

And on Tuesday you send another email about.. Oranges..

The people who open the apples email should get more emails JUST about apples..

The people who open the oranges email should get more emails JUST about oranges..

Even this ultra-basic sequence is impossible with Aweber, and that's why it's no longer a viable option.

And when it comes to more advanced behavioural responses, forget about it. Aweber might as well be living in the stone age.

On top of that, full A/B split testing isn't possible with Aweber.. they only offer a watered down version.

..But wait! If you contact their support and ask them if they're going to add modern functionality to their service, the standard response is "later this year" (they've been saying that for years).

Ahh.. but they're an autoresponder service.. not a CRM.. right?

Well, most autoresponders now have some level of CRM functionality - with a lot of them offering InfusionSoft level automations for a fraction of the price.

Just depends on what your needs are. The OP doesn't appear to need all the foo-foo that you require. Nor do the majority of Internet marketers, I'd be willing to bet.

      Thank you.

Yet Aweber will charge her the same amount.

And you're right, at the moment the OP might not need that stuff, but with Aweber they don't have a choice.

When the OP starts learning more advanced marketing techniques there'll be no room to grow - and will have to move platforms.

I've found the opposite.. most of my marketer friends use InfusionSoft specifically for this reason.

Hmm thinking about it.. the more marketers that ignore behavioural response strategies, the better it is for me and my friends.

As long as you're happy, nothing else really matters. :-)

          Thank you.

I have used them both and for a long time they were about the same. Now, and for the last couple years, I always recommend GR over Aweber. There probably isn't a reason to switch if someone has been having success with Aweber. However, if you are just starting your list, GR is better in many ways. imho

The leader in the autoresponder dept is definitely.....Whichever autoresponder is being used by the one answering your question. If you are planning on building huge lists, then keep them both, and just like with funnels, split test them and see which one is giving you better open rates, more clicks, and most importantly, more sales.

I give a thumbs up to both, having used both. Now I use Mail Chimp because I am super bare bones. I may give a slight not to Aweber for more functionality but we are splitting hairs here.

In my testing they both have about the same deliverability, it's all about which interface you prefer, personally, I prefer the GetResponse interface.

If you want real flexibility though you better off with something like Infusionsoft. Infusionsoft will allow you to do behavioural-based marketing
    and give you unlimited flexibility..
