The best advice is to do your homework before spending any significant amount of money. Internet marketing is so huge / many ways to get started and it's not as easy as many will want you to believe.

For the past 16 years, I have been promoting PPL (pay per lead... lead generating) offers. This is because there is no credit card / purchase required to complete an offer. All a user has to do is fill out a form, so conversion rates tend to be much higher compared to offers that require a sale to be made.

You can find PPL offers at most CPA networks. This is the simplest way to get access to them.

You can become an affiliate directly with the advertiser / offer owner. You can usually get a higher payout this way, over a CPA network.

Last but not least, you could develop your own offers and sell the leads directly to the end users. This requires more work and has more risk, but offers the most reward.

I've done all of the above. For anyone starting out, the first is the easiest.

I favor offers that have a make, get or save money benefit to them, as they have overall worked the best. They also tend to have the greatest mass appeal (will be of interest to a large general audience), so the potential exists to produce high volume and they are fairly easy to cross promote on the back-end.

Some of the verticals(niches) I have done extremely well with are: education, insurance, loans, debt, credit, mortgage, assistance, discount offers, homeowner offers, etc...

The bulk of the offers that I promote pay around $20-$40 per lead, but I also promote offers that pay more and less. However, you don't want to get caught up solely on what an offer pays because how well it converts is just as important. For example, if you have an offer that pays $9, but if it converts at 2X or more of a $20 offer, then it will perform about the same and possibly better. At the same time, if you have an offer that pays $90 and it converts poorly, it may not even be worth promoting.

Bottom line, it is far easier to get someone fill out a short form than to get them to pull out their credit card and make a purchase. So why struggle with trying to sell this or that, when you can provide free information that users want/need and get paid well doing it.

For the most part, I drive traffic to offers by acquiring 3rd party email data. Which is data that the users have shown an interest in a specific vertical(niche) and have given permission to receive messages from third parties. You get the opt-in record for each user and it's 100% can-spam compliant.

Basically, I monetize the data using PPL offer because they offer the path of least resistance to generating conversions and converting the data to cash producing assets.

Online lead generation is a multi-billion dollar industry. Done right it can be far more profitable than many imagine. Everyone that I know that is in the business and knows what they are doing, for the most part, does 6-7 figures. While that may sound like a huge range, much comes down to one's abilities to scale and effectively build/manage the infrastructure needed to scale.

    Something to think about.

It's a good idea to build a blog. You can do so much more with a blog - sell products; build list to promote affiliate programs; start a membership; sell advertising as such. Start your project and keep working on it and try to incorporate social media marketing to bring free traffic. In time you'll have an audience you can speak to. Good luck.

Start by spending a few hours reading posts on Warrior.

As for investing the number varies. But before you research both IM and costs associated with starting up ask yourself: why? Why are you in IM? It has to be bigger than just making money. Tie the reason to something fun. Something freeing. Like, pick niche you feel passionate about and you can then dive into your niche, with research and also figuring out how much scratch you want to invest.

When you start your affiliate marketing business nothing will happen until you help your merchant partner sell his products and services. This will be done through your site (blog) and your marketing or advertising. It is only after a sale is made that you receive a commission for your assistance in making the sale.

It is therefore necessary for you to have a well designed website and a well thought out marketing plan that generates a regular flow of traffic to your site.

Most of the work you will have to do in any affiliate marketing plays around creating, improving, and tweaking your own website and advertising so that you can drive more traffic and sales.

    Thanks so much

    - You can start with Warrior + because they have cheap offers, easier to convert
    - Use bing ads to promote that offers
    - You can start from completely 0 or invest unlimited - It's up to you
    - But if you start from 0, it will be long to see the results i think.

First of all that's great that you want to start
    with an online business,
But before you start take it to your attention:

it's not as easy as it may sound.

don't let people buy you into some fantasy dream
that you will make it after
    one month or so...

it doesn't happen and if it does, so this person has been in
the industry for a long time and have been building him self
a good solid list of people.

Find the niche that you like and want to go all the way.
See what is your passion is about ask your self is this really
    what I'm passionate about?
If so go for it and give your best shot.

The most important thing is to don't give up
if it doesn't go well for the first time.

Do your home work and Search for a good mentor that can help you
    elevate yourself and your business.

And all ways keep on learning read some good books that will help you along the way. (I can give
some names just reach me out.)

    Hope that helps.

The best thing about internet marketing is that; it is among the cheapest and easiest business that one can invest in. It requires you to have just a little money.

The only prerequisite to online business is a computer which is already connected to the internet and you will be set to start your venture.

Besides an internet enabled computer, you will also require the following services which are equally cheaper to acquire.

    I. Domain name
There are primarily two ways through which one can acquire a domain name. Have you ever heard of NameCheap? This is where you will register your domain name at a cost of $9.99 to obtain a .com name. The second option will be including your domain name when setting up your web hosting service.

    II. Web hosting service
If you are a completely new webmaster and you have never used any other web hosting service, Hostigator is the best I can recommend to you because of its low hosting fees of $6.95 per month for a 2-year hosting package.

Besides this, it also contains your domain name registration. If you will be in need to have other recommended web host, you can access them by clicking here.

This are all you require to be an internet marketer although as time goes by, you will need to add other services like autoresponder.

Another important thing which I am sure you will find worthy your time and resources is finding the correct and interesting contents for your site. If you are not a good writer, you will contemplate buying contents.

In a nutshell, in order to have a web site running, you require as little as $7.00 per month and if you need autoresponder, you will need $27.00 per month in total.

Every time someone answers your question - you ask another question on another topic.

    In this thread, you ask:

want to start to become affiliate marketer?

I want to build a blog for a niche?

    suggest some books for me?

how me some advice about SEO?

tell me how to build email list?
You won't learn all that in one thread - or by waiting for people to "tell me how". There is an SEO section - and an "email list" section. There are many threads here about building blogs, affiliate marketing, etc. Use the search function here to find the best posts about the topics you need to learn.

Here is 9 lesson I learn from doing Internet Marketing for long time:
Lesson 1: Start with a reason that's more than money
Lesson 2: Focus on something specific
Lesson 3: It's good to have funding, it's better to have partners, and it's best to bootstrap alone
Lesson 4: Learn when to pass on bad clients
    Lesson 5: Be trustworthy
Lesson 6: Never stop learning new things
Lesson 7: Content isn't king, cash is
Lesson 8: Don't sign up for every Internet marketing tool under the sun
    Lesson 9: Hustle

      just want to add something.
      about lesson 7.

You are right that content isn't king but
if you provide good content with great value
and good copyrighting you can bring clients to the table.

and from that you can earn plus you earn a customer
for life that will fallow you as long as your are the authority who

    hey there

    great question..
Dont use your nest egg to buy any "how to" package .. most of them are hot air or re ash
Dont try to learn it all up front because you'll just get more confused
Start the way that i started.. Are you passionate about any niche out there
    then
find that niche at clickbank or at any forum
then create a blog as a landing page and start promoting.
You want to start promoting up front because it normally takes a while to get conversions

that first conversion will motivate you and drive to continue..
dont worry about not knowing all the short cuts and tricks.
.that will come with time and experience
you can start promoting using free or pay traffic
