That is a sticky sentence. Does it need to be edited completely in order to put your name on it or can you just change the name?

If you can just change the name, then it is more along the lines of PLR.

"Edited completely" is a bit sticky as well. Editing and rewriting are not the same. I could edit something and find no fault with it. So, if I completely edit an eBook, yet not find anything that needs to be corrected, could I still put my name on it, even though I've not rewritten any part of it?

Dan's content is irregularly read by handfuls of people. Join the elite few by reading his blog: dcrBlogs.com, following him on Twitter: dcrTweets.com or reading his fiction: dcrWrites.com but NOT by Clicking Here!

Dan also writes content for hire, but you can't afford him anyway.

Thanks for the responses, but I think the issue is still gray as to what it means to "edited completely and your name put on it"

The seller probably just used the wrong "rights" term. It sounds like more of a PLR license. "Exclusive" and "established website" are other terms that's often not used correctly.

This "Private Label Rights" stuff is so "nobody cares" that it's not even funny. I've seen people do all kinds of stuff with RR, MRR, PLR and PLR with certain restrictions etc...

It just goes crazy after a while.

I tend to only really mess with PLR, but edit the sales letter and graphics if I do.
